Best way to visit other resorts

Our trip is planned for Sept 10th - 18th at the BCV. My DW and I are thinking about checking out some of the other resorts. Some we may eat in others just to look around.

My question is, is it easier to rent a car for the week when we want to visit another resort or is the Disney transportation ok to use. I am worried that the Disney transportation might take up a lot of time getting from one place to another.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Doug...

Yes, the Disney Transportation does take a while... but it never bothered me. I always plan to be at a Park, before going to a resort. It makes for an easier commute.

You won't be able to find many, if any, buses that go from one resort to another.

But if you are already at, MK for instance, then a trip to a resort is not a big deal.

I would not rent a car, I do think it is not worth the spending the extra money, when you do have this vast transportation system. It may take a little bit of time but you can get from resort to resort if you plan accordingly and if you aren't sure you can ask a CM or anyone near by I am sure they will get you on the right track! :wizard:

As others have said, just plan on being in the theme park closest to the resorts you want to visit. From the MK you can easily visit the GF, Poly, CR via monorail (or walk to the CR). You can boat over to the WL and FW.
Since you are staying in the Epcot resort area you can walk to the Yacht Club (right next door) and the Boardwalk, Swan and Dolphin.
The moderates and value resorts can be reached by bus from any theme park or DTD.

Since you are staying at BCV, it is fairly convenient. We did this by taking the boat to MGM, and then hopping on the bus for that resort. Not quite as fast as having your own car, but much quicker than having to go to the TTC. Epcot is also an option, but you'd have to walk to the front of the park to catch the bus.
