from Wilderness Lodge or Carribean Beach Resort? Are there direct busses? thx!

No direct buses. TL buses all transfer at DS. I would take an Uber, cab or Minnie Van.

Thanks for the response. What about a return trip, say to WL? Is there a direct bus FROM TyL to WL?

No. Same route in reverse . TL to DS, DS to WL.
So no matter WHAT resort you stay in, you must take at least TWO buses to reach TyL, Why is that? Is Typhoon Lagoon within 200-300 feet of any resort so that someone could catch a ride there and walk?

Why? Because Disney does not think the amount of traffic to TL is worth the cost of running buses from the resorts. Buses from resorts to DS, which at that time was DTD, formerly stopped at TL, but there were too many complaints from DTD-bound travelers.

TL is directly across the street from the west end of DS, but there is no pedestrian access to TL.

I plan on using Uber for a trip to Typhoon Lagoon. What is the earliest bus to Disney Springs from the resorts and what is the earliest bus from Disney Springs to Typhoon Lagoon?

It drives me crazy! We stay at BWVs. The bus literally passes the entrance to TL, to enter DS! Then it drops you off at the extreme opposite end of where the connecting bus stop is located. Did it one time. Cab and Uber ever since.

Fair point. But, it used to drive me crazy when buses made a stop at Typhoon Lagoon when traveling between Disney Springs and the resort. It might have right there, but it felt like it took forever. It's usually a 2-3 minute wait at the traffic signal going in or out. And, you got to take a leisurely trip through the parking lot because buses only go about 5mph. Half the time, it seemed like no guests ever got on or off the bus.

Here is my beef. First, I would think they could go directly to the water parks during park opening hours. Not so much during the middle of the day.

Second, when you are going to the water parks, you are usually, hauling a little bit a stuff. When you are going to DS, you are, typically, not. To have to get off the bus and haul all your crap to the literal farthest bus stop from where they are dropping you at DS is so annoying. I suppose I would be less annoyed if it was the bus stop next to where they dropped you off.

Third, I am not paying to go to DS, I am paying to go to the water parks. I think you can just take me there.

Honestly, I don't complain too much about things at the World , but this is one of those things that really, really bugs me.

Typhoon Lagoon is not walkable from anywhere.

Another problem with Typhoon Lagoon. At its closing time or when a big storm hits, everyone exits and piles into their cars. Way back when, buses from Disney Springs (then Downtown Disney) all stopped at TL before going to resorts, and got caught up in the exiting traffic sometimes 15 minutes trying to even get down to the traffic light.

Now, just the DS to TL shuttle would get stuck in that mess.

If we are at BC and have a rental car, is it easy to park at TL in the mornings? I will not be doing 2 buses with 6 people, so it is either take our rental car or a Minnie Van. We have never done a rental car so I have no idea how painful or not it is to drive to the water parks. Thanks!!

It is super-simple to park, for free, at the water parks. Plenty of spots, no issues. Not a pain at all. No problems at all.

The issue for visiting the water parks is for people without cars staying at Disney resorts. They have to transfer at Disney Springs, which can mean a long journey especially if a weather event shuts down the park and everyone leaves at once. Or you a just unlucky with catching the bus.

Took a bus from Pop to DS yesterday. It dropped us right behind the Typhoon Lagoon bus stop (stop #1, which said Golden Oak?). Is that not the normal TL stop I wonder? Coming back from TL it dropped us at something like stop 22. This was my first time taking a bus to a water park (I usually have a car) and it wasn't bad.

Thank you so much!!! That really eases my mind. We will drive!!
