We are going to Disney for a quick two days this Fri & Sat. This is our first time not to stay on Disney property. Can anyone give me the best way to get back to the Ticket & Transportation Center? I thought I had read a post about taking the monorail the direction of the resorts rather than to the TTC. Any advice?

Where are you staying? Do you have a car?

The first night we were at MK last week, we stayed for Wishes and then the only way back to the TTC was on the ferry. It was VERY crowded and a long wait. After that I didn't bother with the TTC anymore. We hopped on the monorail, got off at the Contemporary and took a bus to Downtown Disney (we were staying at the Grosvenor Hotel across the street)

I'm pretty sure with the park monorail not working, the resort monorail was only going to to the resorts and not stopping at the TTC at park closing, but I'm not positive about that. I don't know how long the park monorail is supposed to be down either. I would check with a CM, tell them you are going to dinner at the Contemporary and need to know how to get to the TTC from there.

Believe me, there is no best way. It's bad, really bad.

The park monorail can get you to MK but the return trip you need to use the resort monorail. I haven't been in about 10 days so don't know if it is the same. If both monorails are running take the resort monorail the line isn't as long but you will still have to wait awhile even on that one. It still stops at the resorts and the TTC.

It really depends on where the lines are.

If you hit it just right, any of them can be the "best"

Often times though, I find going to the Poly via monorail, or the small boat can be faster than the huge ferry, or waiting in line for the Express monorail. Once you get to the Poly, just walk over to the TTC. The trail dumps out right by the Tram stop there.

This is only when the Monorail lines are long. As far as the Ferry goes, sometimes it's faster when it's already been loading for a while. If you get there right when it pulls up - You'll be waiting for a while so they can pack everyone onto it.
