Best way to take advantage of photopass?

Bummer! When I did it earlier (I didn't buy it.. thought I would buy it after payday) the code worked with the prepaid cd. I should of just bought it then since it won't let me now.

I ordered mine yesterday for $84.95!

I had no problem preordering & using the code.I purchased it right before posting about it

I read on another thread that there was a system glich that allowed the code to be applied to the pre purchase of the CD for a period of time. I wish I would have seen the post about the deal earlier so I could have saved $15. Thanks to OP for sharing the savings information. See quote from May 2011 thread below:

****URGENT*****

For anyone who wants to pre-order the PhotoCD at $84.95, do it NOW!!!!

When I went to see if I could get the $15 discount applied, I was told that the $15 discount was only for regular orders -- not the PRE_ORDER since the Preorder is already discounted by $50.

I went on-line and ordered a new CD and it came up as $84.95. Then I called and had them delete my previous $99.95 order. Of course they asked why I was deleting one and reordering and then they saw the difference in price and said that was not right.

So I'm not sure how much longer that is going to last. Getting the CD for $84.95 is terrific!!

Thanks PP for the info!!!

Here's the tip I didn't read - vary your poses!!! If you all stand the same way each time - they can get repetitive even if the background is different. Sit, stand, squat, stand square to the camera, stand at an angle, goofy poses, arms out, hands on hips, big smile, sunglasses on, sunglasses off, and don't worry about what your hair looks like! Some of the photographers will make suggestions, but others aren't as good - so you need to be prepared, too.

The less you worry about getting a good shot of the people in the photo, the more likely you will get a good one!

I'm not sure if anyone has said this yet, but always ask the photographers if there are opportunities for "magic shots". For example, they can put Tink in your hand!

I wear glasses, and I absolutely hate how I look when I don't wear them.. Will the flash used by the PhotoPass Photographers have a glasses glare??

I'm trying to place an order and it keeps telling me I'm ordering a "Disneyland" photo CD.

I'm going to Disney World........will that work ?

I don't see anywhere to change it.

Does anyone know what to do ?

How do you prepay for the photopass? We are going in 3 weeks and I would love to go ahead and take care of this ahead of time.

Okay, I've preordered my photopass. Now what happens? I've never done the photopass before so I'm not sure how it works especially if you preorder it.

Do I get the photopass card prior to go to Disney, at check in at the hotel or when I enter Disney for the first time?

What is the image size for the photos on that CD? Are these high resolution images or have they been compressed and therefore not the best quality for larger prints?

I got a photo pass card in the mail with my hotel confirmation and other stuff. Never got that before. Usually I get one from the first photographer that takes our picture. Just make sure you take a picture of the numbers on the card and write your name on it. If you lose the card you need the numbers... And the photo guy might accidentally switch your card with someone elses if they are really busy.

Maybe I misunderstood, but I think I read in another thread that you can arrange with the photographers to meet you in some specific time and place. Say you'll have diner in a fancy WS restaurant by 8PM, the photographer will pass by to take your picture. Sounds too good to be true. Any experiences on that?

In that same thread, one guy mentioned being approached by a photographer that proactively took his picture. Does it happen often?

Also, are there photographers in places not indicated on the map? Say some photographers wandering around the parks with no fixed spot.
