Best way to see Aladdin at DCA on a busy Sunday in July?

Any tips for getting into the show? I don't think there's any FP for that, correct? Is there a particular showing that is better to aim for?

The line will begin to form at least 30 minutes or more before the scheduled show. It will look worse than it actually is. We usually catch the first show.
Our plan is to pick up lunch and eat our lunch while waiting in line. You'll need to finish everything before entering the theater.
The closer to the front of the line you are, the more options you'll have selecting a seat once inside.

The theater is so large FP's aren't necessary. There is a CM at the entrance that can help you with any other questions once you are there.

On Tuesday, July 14, we arrived about 5 min before they opened the doors for the first show (which I believe was about 15 min before show time), and barely got seats in the corner of the balcony. I'm not sure if the later shows are less crowded, but if you're going to the first show, I would suggest arriving at least 30 min early.

One of the "Perks" with booking your stay thru "Walt Disney Travel Company", is reserved seating for Aladdin for everyone in your party. We have booked trips thru travel agents, doing everything ourselves, and the Walt Disney Travel Company. The clear winner is the Travel Company. We now book all of our Disneyland trips thru them. The Aladdin "Reserved Seating" is just one of the many reasons why. The seating is great for viewing the play and you do not have to stand in line a long time as the reserved seating has it's own line. A real WIN WIN, so to speak...

We did it twice ...great seats of choice about 30 mins early. That said, my kids are VERY good at walking with a purpose as crowds surge forward.

The later you get in line, the higher up you'll be in the theater. They fill the lines for the orchestra section first, then the upper sections. Then they load the theater by letting each line into their designated section. If you get in line later and end up in the upper section line, there's no option to go downstairs and try to get a seat. The upper seats aren't bad. In fact, they're better for seeing the flying carpet. They're worse for seeing the Prince Ali parade with the elephant since it happens in the orchestra section. What I dislike most about the upper section is climbing all the stairs! On our last trip we ended up in the 4th row of the orchestra section, off to the side. It wasn't a bad view at all and no stairs!

We probably got in line 15-20 mins early last summer and had pretty decent seats there were already a ton of ppl in line I guess we were in the section behind the Orchestra section?? I think we did an afternoon show, we didn't get to see all of it though they had tech difficulties close to the end

They have an elevator for those unable to climb the stairs. One time when I took my Grand Daughters , I wanted the upper section. I asked and they told me to wait near the CM letting people in and when they got to the point where they would open up the upper section,, we were first in line and got great seats right next to the railing.

Also, lots of great seats in the first 10-12 rows quite readily available for a while. The first time we watched from 6th row orchestra and it was GREAT! And there were many great seats around us for a a bit of time.

We went in Last Saturday night for the 6PM showing. We got in line about 5 min early (we did not want to stand in line because of the rain) and we were able to find 4 seats all the way to the right with no problem. It was a great view.

Is there a scooter section (handicap)?

We went Sunday July 12. We have seen the show multiple times from the orchestra section so that was not a priority. We were near it about 10 minutes before a showtime and decided to try to see it then. We had no problems. We were in the balcony section, but got good seats up there in the center and we actually loved the view from the balcony. It was definitely the best view of the flying carpet we have ever seen. The Prince Ali processional is better from the orchestra. There are really good points to both views, so if you get stuck in the balcony don't be disappointed.
