Best way to request a particular OKW building?

As a Christmas gift, I am sending my parents on a March trip to OKW for some R&R, and I am worried that they might be given a building that is going to be walk-intensive in order to reach the Hospitality House (ie, FAR away).

What is the most effective way to assure (as much as humanly possible) that I can get them close to the HH?

You can certainly make a request to be "close to HH" - buildings 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 , 18, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 62, 63 and 64 all meet that request (at least by my definition) - HOWEVER - none of the buuildings are really very far and guests can get on any bus to get to HH even if they are in the farthest building in South Point. There is also an "internal" bus (the bus returning from DD stops at HH before making the usual route to all of the other stops) that can get them back to their building.

Unless they plan to use the store, the main pool and/or Olivia's daily, there is little need (IMO) to be near the HH. Many guests are there only at arrival and use the buses or personal transportation for all other needs while at WDW.

I'd make the "close to HH" request and then just encourage your folks to really enjoy their stay using the Disney transportation ! They can ask any bus driver for help figuring out how to get somewhere- the drivers are really helpful.

Room location requests for DVC units are only made through Member Services, which will note your preferences on your reservation. So, be sure that MS has your preference for a unit near HH on your reservation.

As another poster as noted, there really isn't any need to be near HH unless you're going to go to the store or Olivia's all the time. There are quiet pools scattered around the complex so don't worry about a long walk to the pool.
