We are going to be visiting WDW with another family in Feb. We have separate ressies but are wanting to make some of our ADR's so that we can eat together.

Is it best for ONE of us to make ADR's for 8? Or for each of us to make ADR's for our respective families of 4? We each have 4 in our family.

Or does anyone ever make ADR's for 2 tables of 4 at the same time?

I guess I'm just worried that we'll have a hard time getting ADR's for 8.

We went with another family in Sept. 07, 3 in ours and 4 in theirs. I called and made all of our Table Service ressies together on the first day that I could. I had no trouble whatsoever getting them and we all sat together. Some restaurants can handle groups this size and some cant. We did Coral Reef, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, and Ohana. All were fine with our group size. I hope this helps. Have a great trip!!

I would have one person make ADR's for 8 I think it would be much easier to end up with a seat together.

My ma and pa are joining us in October and we will have a total of 6 and I made all the ADRs for 6.

Happy Planning.

Thanks! I've never tried to make ADR's for more than 2 or 4 people so I just didn't know how hard it would be to get in. And of course all this waiting to make the ADR's until the new system opens is driving me nuts!

Make the ADR for 8 people - if they are having trouble finding 8, and you are willing to go with 2 tables of 4, tell them that. The hosts at the actual restaurant can often get you back at one table even if it was 2 tables for 4. They have more flexibility than the people on the phone.

We did a Grand Gathering last year with 10 of us DM took care of everything. You get a special # to make your ADRS.

I've made adrs for 8-14 people. We're all in different rooms and my cousin works for wdw in orlando. I make all the ADRs that the whole group are going too then everyone else will do their own family or date night meals where its just them. I've never had a problem getting adrs but we're usually pretty flexible with times etc.

We're going in Oct. made all of ADRs but some places we had to have table of 4 and a table of 5. Not a big deal for us because it's 2 families. We'll be sitting near each other at least instead of the other side of the room.:grouphug:

Definitely make one reservation for 8 if you want to sit together. The CM taking the reservation may say you will have to be at 2 tables, but that's because of the reservation system. In 3 years of visits with our party of 8-10 we have never been seated separately at the actual restaurant. If you make 2 reservations of 4 the restaurants won't know you're a party of 8 till you get there, which may throw them off.
