Best way to keep wristbands on?

Less than four months to go.....and all three of our families will be at the Fort again! This will be the first time since the new magic bands have arrived, and we've read that they can come off while working with toddlers and such. We'll have six adults, an almost 7 year old, a 5 year old, a 17 month old and a 14 month old. The two smallest are, of course, free and won't need a band. However, we'd like to assure that our bands won't be brushed off.....especially for the 7 and 5 year olds.

Do you cover them with the covers offered? Clips? Any special tips or tricks?

Thank you! :cool2:

Rubber bands slid over the closed MB. We've never had trouble with ours, though, and use nothing.

We had no problems with our two 9 y/o or our 4 y/o. I did find one MB on the ground while in line for 7DMT and give it to a CM.

I'm wondering the same thing cause on our last trip my sister lost her band when it fell off her wrist and she didn't notice right away, she had to go to the front desk of our hotel that night and get a generic grey one. Mine fell off my wrist twice during the first few days and I ended up just putting it in my purse and carrying it around that way so I wouldn't lose it. It was a hassle to get in and out of the purse for each fastpass, etc.

I was told by a cm that the covers help them stay on so I guess I will spend the extra money next time and buy one when I get there. I hate having to waste the money on something I don't want just to keep the band on that I'm never going to use again and don't really want to wear to begin with (I don't really like wearing watches either).

The sliders are really good at holding them closed. We got free ones because we're AP holders on our last trip, but I'm guessing you can buy them at the gift shops.

My kids were there twice at 4 years old and never came off. If anything, we have to tug gently to get them off at night!

why keep the bands on them? i hate wearing stuff (jewelry, watches, etc) and i pulled mine out to get in the park and use the fast passes. otherwise, it was in my bag or pocket. just saying....
For kids, because they are excited to wear them (and to decorate them, if you decide to do that). And I would think it would be a pain to have to dig out X number of bands every time the family was using a FP -- because if the kids aren't wearing them, someone's gotta carry them all. :)

We didn't have any problems with ours staying on last month without any additional jerry-rigging. I wasn't messing with small kids, but we did a lot of park stuff and both DH and I ran the Wine & Dine half marathon with them on. I don't once recall worrying that I was going to pop ot off.

We have never had a problem with MB coming off either. Make sure u have them snap on tight. You can always take the gray part off it just snaps off from the color part and then pull, this will make it so you can make MB smaller.

Even though I've heard of very few bands falling off, I didn't want to deal with the problem. I took a small piece of duct tape and wrapped it around the end a few times. Even at the water park, the bands didn't budge until we wanted them to come off. They stayed on for over a week.

I never had any issues and we even let my nearly two-year-old wear one.
