We are going in July and staying at the Poly.

Do you advise Magical Express or should we book a car service? What are your experiences?

:wizard: I would go for the Magical Express if I were you. Its a great services and its free.

We have used it 3 times and it was great all three times, no issues what so ever.:thumbsup2 We highly recommend it.

I always like to book a towncar so its not a three stop event to get back to the airport. Plus I get a grocery stop included.

Another vote for ME. I love the fact that my bags magically appear in my room. It saves time and $. Yes with a service you can get a grocery stop, but you can also get items in your resort. They may cost more but I'm pretty sure it will not cost as much as the service.

I just asked this same question yesterday, and after careful consideration and the gov't refund...I decided I would rather take the towncar.ME isn't awful, but I prefer not having to wait for the bus ( waited 40mins on bus last time before we even left ,then had 2 stops before ours)Plus, I hate getting to the airport 3hrs before time.just my 2 cents!:cool1:

That 3 hrs isn't so bad. It always seems to take at least 90 min just to clear security, or maybe that's just me.:confused3 It also gives me some time to go through the airport shops too. I get to have that last chance to look at Disney stuff before boarding my plane. :goodvibes

We do the car service. It's wonderful having it all to yourself and getting the grocery stop also. Although ME is free and more then worth it. We prefer to do ours this way.

I agree, nothing worse waiting for a whole bus load then dropping of guests and stuff until they get to your resort. The grocery stop alone is worth the car service. We prefer to have the driver standing waiting for us with a card with our name on it, loading us and our luggage and whisking us away to the grocery stop and then right to our resort. Same when leaving, you don't have to catch the bus 3 or 4 hours before flight time or board the bus and stopping a some other resorts and boarding others.

We feel the 80 plus bucks round trip is worth the personalized service and 30 minute stop.

ME all the way. My DH loves not having to drive - anywhere - on vacation. And as far as buying groceries, we order from Garden Grocer and they deliver directly to the resort.

Plus , since this trip we decided on a 1 br villa...I really need that grocery stop to stock up on breakfast stuff and water...can't drink fl tap water..have tried BLECHHH!!!:goodvibes

you'll get votes for both sides :confused3 , so the look at what matters to you
towncar pros:
~ avoids possibility of having to wait for bus
~ can make a grocery stop
~ "private" ride
~ no stops at other resorts
~ no waiting for luggage (it can take up to a few hours for luggage to arrive with ME)

ME pros:
~ free
~ go directly to ME after deplaning (no waiting for luggage or lugging it through airport)
~ "coach" buses with cute disney "infomercials";)
~ luggage delivered directly to room (& you don't have to wait around for it)

(btw, ME return trip is booked for 3 hours prior to your flight, but you can book a later bus if available)

everyone is welcome to add to the lists :)

our preference is ME. we do rent a car at the Dolphin for groceries & outlet runs, but take ME for its "fun factor" & convenience (love checking our luggage at our home airport, & not having to deal with it until it *magically* appears in our room). its not even the money: we could save quite a bit by renting a car at MCO, but ME has us hooked :cloud9:

Thanks for the info - we were wondering the same thing for our upcoming trip!
I think we'll go with the ME :)
