Hello this is our first post:)
Our question is we are staying at POP and have 8:50 am breakfest at Chef Mickeys.
1) What's the best way to get there using Disney transportation?
2) How much time should we allow to get there?

Thanks

We stayed there in October and just took the bus to the Magic Kingdom and then took the monorail to the Contemporary. We allowed about an hour, just in case a lot of people were waiting for the bus (although I think Disney suggests 1 1/2 hours).

You can take a bus over to MK and walk to Contemporary -there is a sidewalk from the bus stop area over. About a 10-15 minute walk across the road or you can take the monorail. To get to the monorail though you have to walk over by the park and then up the runway, wait for the monorail to come and then load. By the time you do that you could be at the restaurant. Take the monorail back from Chef Mickey's. The loading area is right there. Usually allow at least an hour at the time you would be heading out.

For an 8:50 ADR, I would be out at the MK bus stop by 7:45-7:50. Take the bus to MK, then walk over to the CR, via the sidewalk. This walkway runs right under the monorail track. So...when you get off the bus, walk towards the park entrance, but when everyone else goes left, you go right..and follow the walkway. It will have MK on the left and the driveway for the buses on your right, with the monorail right above you. It should take less than 10 mins.
You could head to the monorail but that will take about the same time, perhaps a bit more, depending on wait times for a car to come along.

Also had another couple questsions.
1) In-Laws staying at CSR- is 1 hour enough time to get to the 8:50am ADR at Chef Mickeys?
2) After breakfest we are going to EPCOT. Is taking the monorail to the TTC and hoping on the EPCOT route the best way to go?

Thanks again!

1) It's enough time if they're the kind of people who are relatively (no pun intended) on time. Otherwise, tell them the reservation is for eight fifteen and they need to be at the bus stop by seven fifteen or you'll start without them :teeth:

2) Absolutely. The MUCH longer way would be to take the bus from the Contemporary to DHS, then walk or take a Friendship boat from there to the International Gateway entrance at Epcot. And since that brings you into World Showcase, which doesn't open until 11, you'll still need to make your way to Future World.

You must know my in-laws:lmao:

Thanks for info!

This is just a general comment on morning ADRs. Always tell the bus driver that you are going to another resort. In the morning before the parks open there is a very good chance that he can drop you off at your breakfast location either before stopping at the park or after.
