We're staying that DLH in August. I have tickets to see (2) Angels vs. Red Sox games. What is the best way to get from DLH to Anaheim Stadium? I will have a car, but I'm wondering if there is some sort of good, public transportation that would be better than driving and paying to park.

Any help is appreciated.

Also...How is the food at Anaheim Stadium?

I'd just take the OCTA bus down Katella Ave. Route 50 Just walk down to the corner of Disneyland Dr. and Katella. It'll take only about 5-10 min to get there. Check out this link for schedule.
It's funny Angel/Red Sox games are like 50:50 ratio in the fan base - all the chowda head transplants in LA. Have fun

Last time I was there they actually had a pretty decent variety of food. The typical ballpark food plus Panda Express and some other chains.

I've taken the #50 bus to Angel games and it's doable, although it's a bit of a walk from the Katella & State College Blvd stop (15-20 minutes I'd say), and the frequency of buses might be a problem for the return trip, particularly if it's a night game. But there are usually a fair number of taxis waiting at the stadium after the game, so that's a good backup option.

Mmmm garlic fries ...

We usually go to at least two Angels games when we go to DL. The drive is very easy, just straight down Katella. I think last year it was $10 to park, which isn't bad since we do all that walking at DL, I'll take a break where ever we can get it! :rotfl: There was a place where we paid $5 once, I think it was in a business parking lot by Hooters, then we walked to the Angels Staduim from there, not bad either. I haven't tried to take the bus there as we would rather not have to worry about what time the game gets over and when the next bus will be there. Like I said we do enough standing at waiting during other portions of our vacation, so it's all good:goodvibes I am not sure where the bus stop is, but I would imagine it wasn't any farther of a walk than from where we parked by Hooters.

My suggestoin would be to just drive it, the traffic isn't horrible and it is a quick drive.

GO ANGELS!!!!!!

As it turns out there is a bus stop at Katella and Howell (hear the Hooters) and there is now a gate through which you can walk under the train tracks and through the Amtrak station. This is a great option - the walk from that bus stop is quite manageable - 5-10 minutes. And I agree with mikalya73, this would be a good place to drive and park. Another landmark to look for is the Shell gas station on the northwest corner.
