I will come from HWY 4 ... What is the best way to get into FW on a Sunday .

Thanks

Actually, it will be a little different depending on your direction on I-4.

If your are traveling on I-4 from the west (traveling east) I would say exit when you see the signs for WDW - Magic Kingdom. Enter through the main gate (no cost if you have reservations). As soon as you go through the MK vehicle toll gate be ready to turn right. Take the first right (Vista Blvd) and follow the signs.

Now, if your are west bound on I-4 (comming from the east, i.e. I-95) you would want to exit on SR 436 Vineland Road North (this would be a right turn at the end of the exit ramp). Move to the left lane as you will be turning left onto Hotel Plaza Blvd (I think it's the second light). Continue west on Hotel Plaza Blvd to East Buena Vista Blvd (It's a T intersection, you will be turning right).

North on Buena Vista Blvd. Now there are a couple of ways to go but I usually turn left on Community Drive so I can look at the old Treehouse resort. West on Community to Bonnett Creek.

Right on Bonnett Creek and go north to Vista Blvd. Vista Blvd is the road FW is on so keep looking to the right. When you pass a guard shack in the middle of the road you are just about ready to turn right into FW.

The worst that can happen is you will drive around the resort area a little looking at the sights. Generally if you see a sigh that directs you to a "Magic Kingdom Resort" you are going in the right direction.

If you get to the AK or All Stars you made an oops:rolleyes:

Good luck

I-4 WB: avoid all the lights and traffic through the village.
Follow the signs for Epcot, (exit after 535) as you approach Epcot stay left and follow the signs for the MK, tell the attendant at the parking plaza you are going to FW, follow the brown (?) line on the ground or the signs.

To be honest, I like driving throught the village. It's my sign that I have arrived:earsboy:

We went thru the main entrance to MK to get to FW our first time. What no one ever mentions is how narrow the space is you have to sqeeze thru at the ticket booth. We have a motorhome and it was tight. The busses go thru bus only lane, and I assume it is wider.

We always go up 536 like going to Epcot, and get off like your going to OKW. Continue straight across onto Bonnet Creek Parkway until it dead ends and turn left.

Not much out of the way, and way less crowded when the ticket booths are backed up.

What and/or where is "the village" ????

We have been all over WDW, and don't remember anything called 'the village'.

John

Well, Downtown Disney Marketplace was originally the village. I'll have to pull out some of my paperwork form the 70's to see the exact name. As they added stuff the name changed.

Basically the shopping area at DD is the village.

hey, we used to get off the flor turnpike and cut over to 535 and sneek in the back way to get to FW. With all the new housing going up is that still a viable option or is it better to just take us27 to 192? any thoughts:teeth:  :smooth:

I always take 27 to 192. It seems to me to be the most direct way, and now all of the 192 construction is totally done, it really is a nice road.

hey thanks for the opinion, thats what I figured would be best

If you are coming from the west on I-4 which I doubt you are, I would look for alternate routes. 4 is a mess from Lakeland all the way thru Route 27. We go to Disney Quest every other weekend and end up in an interstate parking LOT! Ugh will be so glad when this mess is done. Hope you have a great time when you get to the fort!:D
