My husband, 5 y/o son, 2 y/o dtr and I are off to our 1st WDW trip tomorrow! I've come up with our itineraries but need some clarifications for getting to a few places. Any suggestions for getting:
1) from MGM to Contemporary - Chef Mickey dinner (is there access to monorail from Epcot somehow? If so, how do I get from MGM to Epcot?),
2) WL to MK for Cinderella breakfast (what's faster bus or boat?),
3) WL to Beach Club - Cape May Clambake dinner (is it too much of a hassle with 2 children? This plan has been complicated by the Steelers game on Sunday - my husband's birthday so I have to let him watch it. My fear is 2 starving children, 1 elated or very disappointed husband on a very long bus ride.)

Many thanks!

1. MGM to Contemporary - take the bus directly to CR

2. WL to MK - bus is probably quicker by a little bit... maybe a couple of minutes. The boat on the other hand if it is not crowded and you have stroller you will not have to collapse the stroller.

3. WL to BC - you won't by any chance have a car? Probably best route would be to go to MGM and then take the boat or take boat/bus to MK and then bus to BC.

As for the title to the post... "Best way to get from WL to Contemorary" Take the smaller launch from WL direct to CR.

Shafke covered it quite well.

My only comment is on #2. If the breakfast is well before MK opening, the boat to MK will not be running.

So you could either take the bus (faster), or take the CR boat and then walk to MK.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is no bus to Magic Kingdom from the Wilderness Lodge. Are these the places you are trying to get toand from? All the times we've stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, there was only the boat to get you to Magic Kingdom.

There is also a "direct" boat to the Contemporary Resort from the Wilderness Lodge. You may stop at the campground first though.

Im confused with WL to BC

When we switched resorts we took the bus from WL to MGM then the boat to BC - no need to go to MK

There has been a bus from WL to MK for about a year now.

The bus that used to go to the TTC from the WL now goes to MK.

I've only taken the boat from MGM once. Is the BC the first stop or does the boat make other stops first. Either way, transferring at MK or MGM should give about the same travel time. Personally I would take whichever bus came first at WL (MK or MGM).

If I can take the Boats I will.
