What is the best way to go from the MK to the boardwalk? About how long does it take? We are going from MK to ESPN club for dinner, I need to know how to get there and about how long it takes usually. :cool1:

Thanks

I would catch the monorail from MK and take it to EPCOT, then walk through EPCOT and go through the back door to the Boardwalk. I'm not too sure ho long it would take though.... sorry. You're other alternative is to take the monorail to EPCOT and then catch a bus to BW.

IMHO, the best, fastest way would be to just take the Boardwalk bus from MK to Boardwalk. Then it will let you off right near the entrance to the Boardwalk Resort.

Take the resort bus straight from MK to the Boardwalk. The bus stops are on your left as you exit MK (opposite direction from the monorail station). To be safe I would give about 40 minutes (that includes time to wait for the bus). Going through Epcot means two monorails, the TTC, and a lot more walking... I'm not sure you'd save much time or aggravation doing that.

One note though: sometimes the Boardwalk bus shares with the Swan and Dolphin, but usually BW is the first stop.

Just take the bus from the MK to the Boardwalk. I think it's a 15 - 20 minute ride. Buses run around every 20 minutes. Buses do not run from Epcot to the BW.

I'm not sure of the current bus routes, but my inlaws took a bus from MK to BWV's a few years back and it took them forever. I think they stopped, not only at the Swan & Dolphin but at the Y&B as well. If the BW is not your first stop...I'd get off at the Swan & Dolphin and walk over to the BW, it is much faster. Plus you get to walk along the BW and enjoy the atmosphere! It's my favorite Disney property!!

Walking from the Swan to BW is a really nice walk, if Swan is the first stop... but from most places you no longer have to worry about YC/BC. When we were there two weeks ago, we found at YC/BC now has its own bus for MOST routes. I believe AK was the only place where we shared with all three. At MK there is definitely one stop for BW/SD, and another for YC/BC. It was a pleasant surprise after our '03 trip when they were all together.

There is no bus from Epcot to BW or TTC to BW. I would take the direct bus, they usually do not stop at the other 4 resorts anymore, sometimes just Swan/Dolphin. If the Beach Club bus comes first, you could take that and walk to ESPN, it's probably not much farther than the BW bus stop.

We did that on our last trip- you can take the monorail to EPCOT and then to the Boardwalk, or take the bus to Downtown Disney and then another bus to the Boardwalk.

Here's another thought, after dinner where are you going, how late will you be on the Boardwalk and will there be a bus running at that time?
I was once stranded at the Boardwalk when I stayed too late, but we simply took a cab to POR, where we were staying.
Have fun, enjoy the Boardwalk & check out the street entertainers there! :sunny:

Another option if you stay too late at the Boardwalk and don't want to cough up cash for a cab, would be to take bus to downtown disney and then catch a bus there back to PO. I would definately take longer but it would be free.

waste of time waiting for busses

I totally agree - and STAYING at the Boardwalk is even better :teeth: ! You can walk to Epcot and MGM, the resort is beautiful - I can't think of a downside . . .

Take the bus. Walk out of the MK and turn left to the buses. Get in line under the sign marked "Boardwalk". Ask your driver how late the buses pick up at BW.

You can go by other routes, but this is the easiest, most direct way. And the others won't really save you time - unless you have a car.

I'm assuming the OP will have no car there, otherwise I don't think the question would have been posed. Your own car is always fastest in a situation like this.

The best case scenario w/o a car, though, is definitely the bus. We've done the BC to MK via the EPCOT monorail before, and let me tell you, that took FOREVER! 1 hour and 45 minutes to be exact. Keeping in mind you have to wait for 2 different monorails, then ride them for 10-15 minutes apiece, you also have a VERY long walk from the front of EPCOT to the IG exit. Budget a good 15-20 minutes of walking, more if it's crowded.

The direct MK to BW resort bus is much, much easier and faster, even if it makes a stop or two at other EPCOT resorts. I will agree with some other posters, though, in that you could probably exit the bus at just about any of the EPCOT area resorts and have a not-so-bad walk to the Boardwalk from there.

Take a bus to the Swan or the Boardwalk resort, whichever bus picks up first at MK. Taking the monorail can be fun, but the walk from the front of Epcot to the Boardwalk is a looooong one. When you're done for the evening you might want to walk through World Showcase to the front of Epcot and take the monorail, but I wouldn't recommend it if you are short on time.
