What is the quickest way to get from MGM to Epcot World Showcase?? Is is the bus, the walking path or the boat? I was hoping to catch the Stars and Motorcars Parade and make it to Epcot for our dinner reservations, this would be Saturday April 3rd. Thanks!!

If you're able bodied you can easily walk from MGM to Epcot in about 25-30 minutes at an easy but quick pace. That's definitely the quickest way. The boat, with all its stops, will take 45 minutes easy.

There is no bus

The boat to Epcot will stop at Swan, Dolphin, Beach Club, Boardwalk then get to the International Gateway

Some "faster" walking people take the boat to the Swan or Dolphin then cut over the bridge walk by the BC/YC and easily beat the boat to the IG

thanks

Unless it no longer operates, there is a bus from MGM to the Future World entrance at Epcot. If your PS is at a FW restaurant, this is the fastest way. The "best" way is the relaxing boat ride--especially if it's nice enough to sit outside.

We did Fantasmic followed by Illuminations one night by walking it. You have to be a pretty fast walker and it was a nice way to walk off the dinner we had earlier. The boat is more relaxing, but does take a lot longer.

We were there in December and stayed at the Boardwalk. We made several trips back and forth to MGM.

The quickest would be to take the boat to the first stop, the Swan/Dolphin. From there you can walk to the International Gateway entrance of Epcot. That way you avoid having to wait for all the other stops the boat makes before it goes to Epcot.

unless it has changed; I do believe that there are park to park buses. the quickest way though may be to just walk from mgm to epcot or take the boat...I have never did the walk thing, but, I've heard differing opinions ranging from 15-30 minutes walk time on these boards before...

Our experience jives with what avsfan posted. Take the boat to S/D, walk to IG... much quicker.

Just last Saturday night we did an Illuminations cruise (pontoon boat leaving from the Yacht and Beach club marina). We had taken the boat from the Epcot International Gateway to the marina. When we got on at the IG at Epcot, the captain said the boat would take 45 minutes to get to MGM. The Y&BC marina was the second stop from the IG, it was very quick. (I think the Boardwalk was first.) When we took our pontoon cruise, Captain Ron took us on a tour all the way from Y&BC to MGM and then back to Epcot to anchor under the bridge for Illuminations. He showed us the walking path and said it was 1 and a 1/2 miles walk from MGM to Epcot. How long would that take you? If it is less than 45 minutes, it is less than the boat--but it might be too tiring or take longer after a day of walking in the parks--your call. I know if it was me, with no kids--depending on how tired I was I would then decide which way to take. I think a combination of boat and walking as mentioned upthread would be nice. I will also mention that there was quite a crowd waiting to get on the Epcot/resort boat at MGM when we motored by on our private pontoon cruise. (We could still hear/see that Fantasmic was still going on as we went by too.)

Thank you so much for all the advice - I think the idea of taking the boat to the S/D then walking is a what we will try. Thanks everyone!!
