Best way to get from All Star Sports to the Doubletree Universal Orlando hotel?

My husband and I are staying at WDW for 5 nights and then spending 3 nights at the Doubletree hotel near Universal. What would be the best way to make the transition from hotel to hotel? We could take Magical Express to the airport and then catch a Mears shuttle for $58 round trip. Is there any way to beat that price?

Otherwise we could taxi from the ASSp to the Doubletree and then taxi again to the airport from the Doubletree, but would the cost be much more? It would obviously be more convenient for us.

I'm trusting my DIS experts to know the best way to do this!

Is there a shuttle from the Disney Doubletree to the Universal Studios Doubletree? I've also heard that Universal offers free transportation from Disney resorts to Universal Studios. I don't know if that includes bags, though.
