Why is it so cumbersome to download photopass pix? I'm using a MacBook. Any tricks to avoid downloading 100 zip folders and decompressing each? I feel like I'm going to either have a bajillion duplicates or miss some photos.

I had a similar issue using a Microsoft PC based system so it isn't specific to Apple. Friends of ours had Memory Maker during their Disney trip and were having issues downloading the photos when they returned home. They asked to help and I also noticed a huge number of zip files/folders and many of the pictures appeared in multiple files. Everything just seemed like a jumbled mess of files/pictures named in some random fashion. Their time to download had passed, so I couldn't return to the Disney website to see what other options might have been available. I thought perhaps they had done something incorrectly when creating those zip files, but your description seems to match exactly what I was seeing.

I was able to unscramble their zip folders/files, rename the files and finally eliminate all of the duplicates but was a LOT of extra/needless work in my view. Disney IT always seems to have many issues being discussed here. It wouldn't surprise me to find they haven't organized the photo areas in a way that facilitates efficiently downloading them. Seems like another IT application where the person doing the coding had NO idea how the users would make use of this feature.

We had a horrible time downloading our pictures this last time. It seriously took us a month and in the end we had to download each picture individually. I don’t know what’s wrong with the software right now. We tried on every device we own.

I actually download to my phone from the app while waiting for the plane home. Then when I get home I upload to my pc

Their Memory Maker software has been sad for years. It has always been zipping, decompressing, multiple duplicates, out of order... And when you vacation in Disney for a longer period of time (say over a week) and you have 4/5 people taking pictures it becomes an absolute hassle. I wish that there was a place for feedback so that they could improve, but it has been this way for YEARS.
