Best Way to do Peter Pan?

I have three options in my trip, not sure which is best:

1) Go immediately after 8:00 am breakfast at CRT.
2) Go during MVMCP (would probably be during the first parade)
3) Use Fast Pass

My initial plan is to do 1 or 2.. I would really rather not use the FP on it. But I am nervous that if those two plans don't work out, and we don't have 3, then we may not ride it at all. We definitely aren't interested in waiting longer than 20 mins.

Any advice?

I would say option 1 also. A couple years ago during MVMCP, we checked on Peter Pan a couple times during the party and it had pretty long waits most of the night.

It's always been a near walk on for the first 30 minutes of the day for us, though we don't go during very busy times so that helps. You'll be fine with #1.

We usually wait and do it at the very end of the night. If it's a EMH nighttime night, all the better.
Thanks.. I should have mentioned that we are not staying at night (except for the MVMCP night)... have two little ones.

I'm glad to see most people think my PPO breakfast will work! I've never done one before so I hope we get out of there on time. But I also don't want to rush through meeting all the princesses either.

It is a tradition that we hit Peter Pan as our very first ride after rope drop on Day One. We are always right on. :)

We just had 8:15 res for CRT and were out at 9 and had no problem getting to our first thing. We had to wait a couple of minutes for it to even open. Peter Pan is very close to the castle.

It's a beautiful ride. Don't miss it.

The only way one would fail is if there is a surprise change and the park opens at 8

I'm not sure how many of the people saying option 1 will "definitely" work have actually done a PPO breakfast at CRT. This is contrary to what everyone else has said, but I personally would NOT do option 1. First of all, there's no guarantee you would get out on time from the breakfast, and just 10-15 minutes around the time of rope drop makes a HUGE difference in your waits (e.g. being at the front of rope drop crowd and walking on to 7DMT, verses showing up 15 minutes later and the wait is over an hour with the line headed back towards Dumbo). Keep in mind, the first rope drop crowds will be making their way in before 9 am--the welcome show is usually around 8:40, lasts a few minutes, and then people are let in. Plus, there's always the chance (depending on when you're going) that MK will change their park hours (as late as the week of your trip) to opening at 8, and then your plan is ruined.

With all that said, even if you 100% for certain can be out of CRT in time to beat RD crowds, I STILL wouldn't do it. CRT is exorbitantly expensive. I couldn't even imagine paying the outrageous price for that experience and then trying to rush through it in 30-45 minutes, stressed out the entire time whether we would be able to beat the crowds. When we did a late morning breakfast at CRT, the whole experience took the better part of 2 hours--and that was with only seeing all the princesses go through one rotation visiting.

The only way I would justify an 8:00 CRT PPO reservation is if I didn't care at all about making the first couple rides at rope drop, and really wanted the experience of entering the park early and taking pics in front of the castle with minimal crowds, etc. Otherwise, I'd rope drop the park, go straight to Peter Pan and ride with no wait, and then do CRT later in the morning (after 10) once all the lines have already started building up. Or RD MK a second day and do PP then.

The bottom line: the first 1-2 hours the parks are open are by FAR the best time of the day to ride via standby lines, and I never schedule anything during that period... and I wouldn't pay that price to rush through CRT.

Yes, I've done a PPO at CRT. Many times. I just think that the bulk of the RD crowd will head to 7DMT. Besides, if they want to check out the interactive queue, they don't really need for PP to be a walk on.
