Best way to clean glass shower doors?

We have very hard water here in the desert southwest. My tip is from "the queen of clean" as she's called here, Linda, she does features on the local networks. Use lemon oil to clean glass shower doors, and "Gel-Gloss" which comes in a hot pink can to clean tiles. I've used the lemon oil and it works to clean plus helps avoid further build-up.

I used to live in Vegas - and I had hard water there too. Just had frosted glass shower doors! But I noticed my coffee pot was a mess of deposits when we moved
I also used that Gel Gloss but I have not seen it here in NJ.

Lemon oil question:
How do you apply the lemon oil, do you use a sponge or rag? Do you have to wipe it down afterwards or do you squeege it off?

TIA

Great thread. We had clear doors in a prior house, but no matter how hard I tried, they still always looked etched, if you know what I mean. I'm not sure if the prior owners used something on them that wasn't appropriate or what.

I'm taking notes, we have textured (hammered) doors now and I want to change to a clear frameless.
