Best Way to carry Pal Mickey around?

I bought some of the old PM's on sale, the one's with a clip which we won't use. What is the best way to carry these guys around? On a lanyard? Can I get a cheap Disney one somewhere? I would need two, or at least one. 2 kids, but I'm hoping we can just take one PM to the park each day and share. The other will have to stay in the room and rest. :)

We use a Coke strap to carry Pal Mickey. He can't get lost then like he could with just that clip.

Honestly, I just carry mine around...and he goes on rides with me. I love to hear what he has to say at each place!!

We have an old PM. We attached a carabiner clip to the fabric loop on the back of his head and hooked the carabiner to a lanyard. My large DD8 carried him almost everyday, all day. We loved him. DS4 did not enjoy carrying him, but enjoyed holding him on the monorail and boat to FW. Mickey travelled with us everyday.

My Pal Mickey came with a lanyard and clip that hooked onto the hook thingy in his head. It was a great way to carry him as I could always feel him vibrate and could just hold him to my ear and squeeze his belly. :mickeyjum :tigger: :goofy:

Pal Mickey?

Oh, he just pulls me around the park by a hook in the front of my tee-shirt neck.

When he wiggles and giggles, I just pick him up and hold him near my ear so I can hear what he wants to tell me better.

We have fun like that all day!

He's a pretty good pal.

You can get plain Disney lanyards anywhere in the parks or at resort hotels for $5 each. Those don't have clips on the ends though. Another idea is to get a lanyard at Target's Dollar Spot (they call them gym pass holders, I think). They come in red, blue and black, and have not only a clip, but a cool plastic sleeve that is JUST the right size for your room key/ticket card! How cool is that? :)

Was this the old or new one? Because my Pal Mickey didn't come with a lanyard! :confused3

New (2005) Pal Mickeys have a lanyard.

When we were at WDW last year, after the New Pal Mickeys came out, certain WDW shops were giving away Pal Mickey Lanyards.
We have the "classic" Pal and were offered a free lanyard.

Good to know. Mine is the older version, bought on sale for $13.99...so where might I go to be "offered a free lanyard?"
Thanks!

Well, I didn't say you WOULD be, I just mentioned that we were LAST year because you asked "which" Pal Mickey had one.

Didn't appear that the free lanyard was going to be a "forever" thing, but I wouldn't KNOW.

Lanyards can be found that are very inexpensive in the "real" world
($1 or so, as was stated in an earlier post).
So if its important, I'd buy one before I got to WDW, just in case.
Then, if you DO find one at WDW, free or otherwise, you can get another.

We got our lanyard at the Camera/Photo store just as you enter Dis/MGM Studios.

:thumbsup2

When we got our pal Mickey I used those links (baby links that they play with) and hooked it on my belt loop. (My son was a baby when we last time and loved the links to play with and I loved them to hook stuff with!) LOL!

I just picked up one of these yesterday. The clip looks like it'll work well!!!
