Best way to buy park tickets?

Hi DISers!

For the first time ever, I will have an annual pass for our upcoming trip and I need to buy separate park hopper tickets for the other three in my family. Usually we go to DLR using a package, so everything is together, but not this time! So... is there an advantage to buying tickets online before we leave? Or do we just get vouchers if we do that and have to go to the ticket window anyway?

I should say that the day we arrive it will be after noon, so we won't be in a huge rush. We just want to get tickets that first day so we can go to the park at night and hit rope drop the next morning.

Also a related question: can we buy our tickets at the Disneyland Hotel since we're staying there?

Yes, when you check in they can get them for you at the counter while you are registering there and then if you wanted to use the monorail you could rather than walking up to the front gate. We usually always buy our tickets at the Hotel. A couple of times I have used get away today if they have a deal that disney didn't offer but that has been quite some time ago.

You can buy them online from Disneyland and print them at home before you go. The printouts do not need to be taken to the Ticket window, but straight to then entrance turnstiles. I haven't bought them elsewhere as most of our visits were annual pass visits too.
