My husband and I are just starting to look. We have been pricing, it seems that to book directly form Disney is more expensive. I found a web site 1800cruise that I get about $400 cheper then direct from disney. My question is....has anyone ever heard of them and how did you get the best price. We are looking for the 4 day next JUne. Thanks.

Consider using Dreams Unlimited Travel. They sponsor this board. I've been very impressed with the excellent service that they've given to me.

Dreams Unlimited offers discounts, rebates, and credits. The specific offers vary over time. But the result is a much lower net price than booking directly with Disney.

Also, Dreams Unlimited claims that they monitor price changes, and that they adjust the price if DCL lowers the price, even after you book. And that's excatly what happened to us!

But, in any case, the most important thing is to book as early as possible for the best early booking discounts and the best stateroom selection.

You will certainly save more money with a good TA vs. booking directly with DCL. My advice, since you don't have a regular TA, is to call Dreams Unlimited, who is a sponsor of these boards. Hundreds of DIS'rs have booked through them, and have gotten great service and value....click on the banner on top of this page...

Good luck!!!

I will definitly look into booking with Dreams. SOund like a great deal. Do you think October 2003 is to late to book June 2004? Thats when we will have the deposit money Thanks

We use Dreams Unlimited and Allseastravel.com. It goes back and forth to who has the better price.

From reading past post I don't think the two match each others prices.

Does anyone know?

Right now I have a quote from both for a Jan 04 cruise and All Seas came in 500.00 cheaper. We're going on a 3 day the end of the month and Dreams came in literally a few dollars cheaper. We used them. With todays economy and wanting to cruise as much as we can, we go with the cheapest between the above two companies and the one who is offering the best rebates or incentives.

Happy Traveling....

Probably not but may I suggest this: Get you a Disney Credit card and put your deposit on it. It will be 6 months same as cash and you will get points to use as money on board.
We are getting ready to book an Alaskan Cruise for 2004 and are using ours for that. We won't get the 6 month same as cash but we will get the points to use at WDW in DEC.
Just a thought. I know some folks don't like credit cards but we like using other people's money any time we can.

We are using DU this time to plan our Dec. WDW trip and we can't say enought good things about Merrie, our agent.
Have a great trip,

Russ

We've always booked directly through Disney Cruise Line and have secured really great rates. In fact, we've checked with Dreams Unlimited, AAA, and several other places and they have all been more expensive than the rates we've secured through DCL.

Although I have a feeling that a lot of this has to do with the Florida Resident Rate.

When you go to the Disney cruise website make sure that if you do not want the transfers or ins. that you take that off. Sometimes that is the difference in the price. Make sure to ask the TA if the price quoted includes these. I like booking through the website because then I can check on my reservation easier and it shows your cabin # and seating assignment. Either way you will have a great time on the cruise.
