Best way to book WDW/Universal split vacation?

Is there a better way than booking two independent stays one at each resort? Also, is there anyone who can match Costco’s pricing? So far I am doing way better through them with tickets included than any combination of WDW direct, ticket discounters, or alternative online bookings. Is it worth trying a full service travel agent to see if they can match costco?

Right now I am looking at June this year, 6 nights. 5 days of park hopper tickets. Staying at the Caribbean resort. Costco has me at $3352 for three people. I have not been able to find a combination that comes close.

I think that the independent stays are the best way. Be sure to ask on the Universal board here; the Uni experts don't always come to this one since it's for Disney hotels.

Holy moly didn't know that my go-to place was now verboten to mention here. Duly edited.

Going thru a travel agency that specializes in Disney can get you some good deals and relieve you from hunting down any bargains. Have you asked for a quote from Dreams Unlimited? There's no obligation to book, but they might be able to at least match Costco's price, plus give you recommendations on how to transfer from your Disney hotel to Universal if you don't have a car.

What days in June? June 4/5 Universal offers the orlando informer. This puts some of their hotels @ $100 a night. You might want to look into that. search Orlando Informer (the park ticket is a special event ticket and includes unlimited food/ beverages).

I would get quotes from Dreams Unlimited as well. I've used them for planning both Disney and Uni trips (of course I had to cancel the Uni trip). The agent helped me figure out how to get a better price on Uni tickets, etc. She ran all the numbers for me.

Unfortunately kids are still in school at that time. We are looking at traveling June 20, 6 nights at WDW, then 4 nights at Universal. But I will check out the Informer just in case.

I agree with PP and I would go through Dreams. I don't see transferring resorts being an issue. I have used Uber/Lyft to get back and forth from WDW and Universal multiple times and it works just fine.

The only issue I had with costco was I could not customize like I wanted.. so I universal tourist for tickets and hotwire for rooms We did Disney then universal staying in a lowes resort. We used auto slash for rates on a car... one trip costco was lower and one priceline.

Thanks for the feedback. What could you not customize?
