I have my hotels booked with AAA rate. When, and IF, the APH rate comes out and is cheaper, what is proper etiquette to request the cheaper rate? Just call the hotel and ask them to change it? ...or book at the APH rate and cancel AAA rate?? Just want to be prepared IF the APH drops below the AAA and want to be sure I know what I'm doing to handle it correctly!
Thanks! :wave2:

If my rate drops I make the change the same way I booked it. If I called I call and change it. You can just say that you saw the APH rate on the website and want to change your rate to that. If I booked online I would book the APH rate and cancel the AAA rate.

I hope the APH rates get back to what they used to be! I wonder if AAA is the new APH :confused3 I have been looking at three different dates for future trips and so far AAA is the best rate. Things may be changing. I hope the rate comes down for you!

Thanks...don't matter if it doesn't come down...we're still goin'!!! Have 10 months to save, I can do it! I would like to HOPE it would come down lower for AP's, but, I'm prepared in case it doesn't! :teeth:

I do exactly the same thing as Fan2CSkr. It's never a problem. :)

I hope that APH rates haven't gone the way of the ENT rates! Remember them from the long, long ago? RPR for $110 per night. HRH std for $125, pool view for $135, HRH Deluxe for $160 .... Wow, to have those days back again.... Entertainment Rates RIP. I have yet to hear from the AP folks to find out where that $129 rate at the RPR is that they're still advertising. :(
