Best way out

We will be staying at the Dolphin with a car. What is the best and/or fastest way to get to all the restaurants outside of the park? We have many gift certificates saved up and will be looking to drive off property to save some money on food. What are the best ways from the Dolphin to get to the main restaurants without wasting hours in traffic?

I wish I could give you a more definite answer but this is the best I remember.

We had a car with us last December and found it very easy to get off property. The exit close to the DTD resorts leads to Apoka Vineland rd (i beleive that is the name of it). There is a pretty good selection of stuff right there. I specifically remember a Golden Corral and Waffle House too..... neither are fine dining, but I had an eye out for restaurants not typical to New Jersey.
Also I beleive there was an exit off I-4 for International Drive. I- drive has a ton of great dining selections. I dont know if we were just lucky, but we didn't hit traffic getting there at all.

It would definetly pay to map it out before you go. We didn't, but we enjoy driving around taking in the sights.
