best waterpark of disabled child

My daughter has Angelman Syndrome. She loves water. We are going to Disney the 1st week of Dec. If it is warm enough we may do a waterpark. We have done other waterparks before and she loves the lazy river or a mild wave pool. She has to have a tube for the wave pool. She can also do tiny slides. She cant walk up may stairs at a time so we stay away from bigger slides. Out of TL and BB which is better for a 13 yr old disabled child. I also have a 10 yr old typical son that the bigger the slide the better. Can I make both of them happy?????

The only flotation devices permitted in the wave pool at either water park are water wings or a vest. Tubes, noodles, and boards are prohibited.

The Disney-provided tubes are the only tubes allowed on the slides and the lazy river. The only exception to this is that a tube with a center and leg holes designed for an infant to sit up is permitted in the lazy river.

There are some small slides at TL, but they're only for children under 48" tall. My nine-year-old was barely an inch over the height limit and they wouldn't let her on them. There was one slide that was just a little bigger, without many steps, but I don't remember the maximum height for that. It may have been 60" but I'm not sure. There weren't many other options, as she isn't a strong swimmer and wouldn't go on the bigger slides. It's still a fun park to visit. I can't comment on BB as we've never been there.

We have done TL and BB, granted it was several years ago, and I loved them both, but I think that Blizzards Beach has a really fun theme for kids. My dd was almost 6 at the time (she has cp and cannot walk on her own) so she didn't do any slides, but still had a blast!

Blizzard Beach would work well for both your children. The wave pool is gentle and there are tubes available for use in it. The lazy river is much longer than TL's. There are also some nice smaller slides. For your adventurous 10 yr., Summit Plummet is awesome.

I have had a student with Angelman Syndrome in the past. Thinking of his needs only, since I don't know your child, Blizzard Beach would be the location of choice for me. The slides at the top of the hill are accessible by the chair lift, so mobility is less of an issue.
