Best viewing of MK fireworks?

Hi everyone! I'm a new poster taking the plunge! I'm spending 4 nights in February in WDW at the new Pop Century. Our first day we'll be driving up from Fort Lauderdale and won't be going to a park. (I only have 3 days left on old park hoppers) However, on our first night we'd really love to see the MK fireworks from somewhere with a good view. I remember once going on a terrace outside of the California Grill in the Contemporary Resort. Is that spot still available for viewing? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I posted this on the Budget Board 'cause I'm saving money on a one day park pass...lol. Thanks so much to all of you for your time and the great info you share!

Last I heard, they weren't letting you on the terrace unless you were dining at CG. However, now everyone goes out on the terrace right off the concourse level of the hotel (4th floor I believe) right past the shops to the left.

Thanks Disneysteve! I'll have to take a ride on the monorail & enjoy the view from the CR concourse terrace.
