Every time I’ve seen a parade at disneyland I’ve been near Main Street. But... do you think that really the best place? Doesn’t the parade start over by IASW? Maybe over there is better? I’m thinking of the best viewing for the new Pixar day parade.

We like to get an outside table at the Jolly Holiday and enjoy coffee and maybe share a treat while watching.

It depends on what you mean by "best"...for me, pretty much any spot in the front row, not on the blind-side of a curve, and not looking into the sun is a good spot. Some guests like places where the back drop is neutral or interesting for photography. Main Street and IaSW both have good spots and less good spots.

Historically, parades can start at either end (Main Street or IaSW). It all depends on how many parades have run before it. Assume Pixar Play Parade is the only parade running that day, I would guess the first run will come from IaSW to MS and the second will go from MS to IaSW.

I never thought about the ambiance or background of a parade. For me I just want to be front row watching the floats. I bring a portable blow up cushion so I my butt doesn't have to sit directly on the hard cement.
