Some of the BC rooms have an obstructed view of Epcot (if you hold your head at exactly the right angle). Some of the water view rooms at YC also have a limited view of Epcot. I understand that there are rooms at BW that have a view as well. I wouldn't count on, or be disappointed if you didn't have the view. The best part to me is not the view, but it is the fact that it is literally "in your backyard" at any of these thre resorts. I also like the fact that MGM is "just across the street and around the corner".
I too prefer BC. I really like all three, but the BC is our favorite. I guess the real difference is the theming. To me it is a little bit more than that.. I just get a different feel in the BC as compared to YC and BW. YC & BW just seem a little more refined (maybe not exactly the right word) the lobbies in these two are a little more "dressy" - not stuffy - just dressy. Just as you might expect at a Yacht Club - the hardwood floors are highly waxed, there is alot of brass, a big globe in the middle of the lobby, leather chairs, etc... The BW has big overstuffed "comfy" chairs - I really feel like I'm transported back to the turn of the century. Again, just feels like the members of "high society" might be staying here - again, not stuffy, just refined & classy.
The BC.... It too has some hardwood floors & tile - you don't even notice the hardwood (I don't anyway, unless you are walking on it, unlike the YC) it just blends in. The lobby seems to be more alive. I don't know why - the others are always full too - the BC lobby just seems to be more lively and always bustling with activity. The rooms are pretty much the same in all three.
In terms of food and activities... At YC/BC you have the same options available, actually you could say that in terms of food & activities all three are close enough to each other that an option at one is also an option at the other (except the pool - of course you have to be staying at the resort to use that resort's pool). There are water mice & pontoon boats available for rent. We like a E-ticket ride on The Breathless. A reproduction mahagony Chriscraft speed boat. It is way too much fun - can be rented (with driver) for as short as 20 minute rides - not cheap - but your kids (and husband) will love you.
Pools... there really isn't much left to be said about SAB. It is great- the sinking sand, the lazy river, the swirling pool, the slide and on and on. At the pool there is Hurricane Hannah's. We enjoy relaxing by the pool & having an adult beverage. They have servers that cruise around the pool area to make sure that you are taken care of (they wil take your food & drink order - then you don't have to wait in the line at HH). At BW you have a nice pool. There is a slide called the Keister Coaster (it is built to look like a roller coaster- except you go down on your keister). There is Leaping Horse Libations, their pool bar. Nice people, the same two CMs have been there for years, they are super nice folks.
YC/BC Food & Lounges... There is Beaches & Cream. This is an ice cream shop, they also have food service at lunch & dinner. The burgers are great as are the chicken sandwiches and my goodness the onion rings. My kids love the shakes and ice cream. Folks talk about the Kitchen Sink - big doesn't describe this thing, huge doesn't describe this thing, monsterous doesn't describe this thing. And it has everything in it (ice cream, nuts, cake, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, carmel sauce.....) There are lobby bars in both YC & BC. They serve breakfast items (donuts, dry cereal, juice, danish, etc..). In the evening (and late afternoon) you can step in for an adult beverage, if you choose. There is The Crew's Cup Lounge. It is a super neat place. You can order burgers and sandwiches from lunch to late afternoon, and later if you ask. There are appetizers in the evening. Big leather couches and leather chairs as well as booths and tables & chairs - not a big place real cozy. This lounge is adjacent to The Yachtsman Steakhouse. This is our favorite restauraunt on property. The steaks are great, particularly the filet. We have never had a bad meal there and our service has always been good and often times exceptional. It is a little pricey, but well worth it IMO.
BW Food & Lounges... In the BW just off the lobby there is The Bellevue Room. A really cozy litttle lounge, nice comfortable chairs, a balcony that you can sit on & enjoy your beverage. There are board games that you can play. We have many times played a board game with our kids while enjoying a nice glass of Sterling Cabernet (not the kids, they had Shirley Temples) before heading off to the park or dinner. For quick breakfast, there is The Boardwalk Bakery. For food we really like ESPN Club - heaven for a sports nut - TVs everywhere showing all manner of sports if its being broadcast they've got it. And you won't miss a single bit of action because there are even TVs in the bathrooms. We also like Spoodles. They serve full breakfast as well as dinner (I'm not sure about lunch). There is The Flying Fish - I hear it is great for dinner.
For entertainment... there is all manner of acts on the Boardwalk at night. Comedians, jugglers, men who swallow swords. There are games of chance - basketball throw and other carnival type games. There is the "General Store" (may not be the name of the shop, but that is what my kids have always called it). You can buy a range of items from bandaids to WDW gifts to a nice bottle of wine or a gallon of milk. There is Jelly Rolls a dueling piano bar - for adults only. They check. There is The Atlantic Dance Club - you can go in and listen to disco music (yes I said disco) and if you are inclined you can "trip the lights fantastic" sans John Travolta.
My, my-- how I do go on. Check out the YC/BC thread on this board, or if you have some specific questions, I will give it a try as I am sure others on this board will also. Hope this helps.
