We are bringing the MIL this trip and she is into the whole veggie/vegan thing right now. I am looking for suggestions on a TS meal within WDW that is on the DDP that would meet with the veggie/vegan expectations.

Any clue:confused3

Is she strictly vegan? Either one is certainly doable, but veggie is much easier and she can order off the regular menu (almost all restaurants have at least one entree). Ohana at the Poly is great at accommodating vegetarians/vegans, and all of the restaurants at AKL are veggie friendly. If you are looking to stay in the parks...My favorite meal at Epcot is the grilled veggie stuffed pasta at Akershus (although I imagine there is probably cheese in it?), and TH and CP buffets are pretty veggie friendly. If she does not eat any dairy, I would call the restaurant a few days before your trip to give them a heads up.

Try Sanaa at the AKL. I haven't ever been there, so I can't speak for it personally, but I have been pouring over menus for ADR choices and their Indian/Afro menu seems to be quite vegetarian friendly.

Marrakesh at Epcot has a decent vegetarian selection as well.

Sanaa actually has a vegan/veggie menu. Boma's good, too.

I've heard great things about Ohana and California Grill doing special menus for vegans. Tusker House and Boma are also vegan friendily. I would check some vegan dining reviews here on the Dis.

Tusker house is very veggie friendly. I am not a big meat eater either and neither is my son, so we enjoyed that. Honestly any of the buffets are veggie friendly. There are lots of options. Crystal Palace was good too.

One of best meal (vegetarian) I had on our trip to WDW in February was at 'Ohana. You definitely get more than enough to eat. Depending on the day you go you might get lucky and get Chef TJ who is supposed to be wonderful at creating a vegetarian or vegan feast. The night we went Chef TJ was not on duty, but I was not disappointed.

First they bring a salad to the table for everyone to share, you will need to get another salad dressing for a vegan as this is a honey lime dressing. It's very tasty! You will also share noodles and broccoli for the table. Both are very good. Now my vegetarian meal consisted of a rice, veggies and tofu dish. I loved it! Now if you MIL isn't into tofu, you might want to call the restaurant 72 hours ahead and speak to a chef about what she does/will eat.

Also make sure you note on your ADR's that you have a vegetarian or vegan with your party. Keep in mind that almost all of the restaurants will have a vegetarian option on the menu. But again if that doesn't appeal to your MIL you will need to call ahead of time.

Boma is also another really good option. Plenty to choose from for a vegetarian, but I would recommend asking for a chef to walk your MIL around the buffet to point out items she can eat if she is indeed a vegan. Another restaurant I had a great meal at was Biergarten. A wonderful chef came to our table and escorted me to the buffet pointing out what I could/could not eat plus made me a few other items especially.

I have found eating at the World to be very good and a pleasurable experience. Most of the time Disney is excellent at accommodating your needs. And I have certainly never left hungry. :goodvibes
