Best VEGAN Experiences?

I was wondering what are the best vegan meals you've had at Disney World parks & resorts & in Disney Springs. Also, if anyone is on a whole foods, plant-based diet & has had good experiences, I'd love to hear those too! TIA!!

My sister is vegan and really enjoyed the garlicky pasta she was served at the hoop de doo revue (of all places!) Ohana had non dairy ice cream that was so good my kids stole it from her.

We let all the restaurants know in advance of our dietary needs and everyone ate like kings. Disney does not disappoint.

Sanaa was my favourite! It's not very spicy but quite flavourful. I also liked the burger at Sci-fi diner and they have vegan milkshakes. BOG also has a really nice ratatouille. The Tusker House buffet also has lots of options, the plantain is everything.

Check out the veg Disney Facebook group and also vegandisneyworld - it's a really useful blog with reviews and a full list of vegan options in the parks.

How long ago was that? They always give me rice when I go and ask for a vegetarian meal. I love the show, but it got the point I couldn't justify the cost for the plate of rice. If that's been in the past few years, I'd give it another try, as we've not been there for 3 years.

That was about 3 years ago. She is pushy so it is possible she called them beforehand to make her request very clear and suggest what would make her happy.

I apologize if these aren't vegan, but two of my favorite meals are the quinoa salad at Be Our Guest and the falafel pita at the Mara (AKL).

I am not vegan, but I once had a great meal at WDW that I think was vegan (not sure). It was at 50s Prime Time Café and it was spaghetti with tomato sauce and vegetarian "meatballs". (There was no cheese.) The meal was very tasty. Lately it seems this dish has been only on the kids menu, but I hope they put it back on the adult menu also, as it was great.

So, you're not vegan but love the quinoa salad? That makes it sound especially good then! :) Thank you for the tips!

You're welcome! I'm not a vegan or quinoa expert, but I like it enough that I order it every time and carry my leftovers around MK.

I have a dairy sensitivity, hands down my favorite place to eat this past trip was Blaze Pizza in DS. They use Daiya vegan cheese, which I use regularly back home, but I've never gotten it to melt so cohesively as they do.

I'm thankful they have Tofutti and Rice Dream in the parks, but I'm seriously hoping that they start carrying Ben and Jerry's new non-dairy flavors. Leaps and bounds ahead of anything else out there.

How did I not know about this?! Do you know what kind of ice cream they use? I'd imagine its Tofutti or Rice Dream like other places around WDW...

I'm pretty sure it was Tofutti!

It's very luck of the draw, mine took ages because they only have one "alllergy blender" available. It was vanilla flavoured and very sickly sweet but still awesome.
