Best Value Resort for Split Stay

So here we are.....

We have a trip planned Tuesday night - Saturday of Thanksgiving week. Was able to snag a Poly Tower Duo room, which is great. But, with all the chaos with flying right now. We have decided to drive. And we have decided to now go Saturday - Saturday so we need a room for those first 3 nights. Currently we can get All Star Sports for $171/night (have this booked) with our AP discount or we can go for Pop at $272/night with no discount. We used to love our Pop but obviously have been spoiled by our DVC stays. If you had your car with you, would you save the $100/night and stay at Sports or would you "splurge" for Pop at $100 more? Of course we will be stalking non-stop for the next week in hopes of snagging a DVC room before the cancellation policy kicks in for the cash stay.

ETA: Swan / Dolphin is out, no good rates.

I would save the $300 as the rooms are basically the same and you can drive to the parks that are accessible by skyliner.

You are at Poly later on but if you wished you could use some of your $300 savings to grab a minnie van to MK while at *** (lol what an abbreviation)

Do you value the skyliner? If so would not using it be worth $300? People cancel last minute all the time from what I have seen. Good luck you just may find something!

I would probably choose Pop because I love the convenience of the Skyliner.

But to be fair, I have stayed AllStars only once and it simply wasn’t for me.

Keep checking those AP discounted rooms to. I see them change regularly with what shows up!!

All Stars and Pop basically have the same room layout. Skyliner is nice but if you’re not at Epcot or Hollywood Studios, it is the bus like All Stars.

Since you have a car, you can also just drive yourself.

Thanks all. To answer the question about the skyliner. It would be useful for the last night before we switch over. My wife will have to work remotely from the room for one day. It would make it easy for me to go to Epcot or Hollywood and when she is done for the day it would give us quick access to those parks as well.

We just had a similar choice to make and ended up midway with Coronado. Our parking was easy. I’d either do that or move to ASMusic for the bump in price lol, because I like it better than Sports Pop’s price seems to high, even with the skyliner.

Wish I saw that date for CSR for the nights we need, it would be a no brainer. Currently about $150 more per night than that.

We actually have to stay on the cash side through the 26th, I forgot we are doing 4 nights in cash and now 3 nights in DVC. Will have to drop a night of our Poly reservation and hope the points in holding don't go to waste. Since my wife needs to work remotely on the 25th we need a room the entire day.

But ya, I wish I had that discount you are seeing lol.
