We're making our own DXDP by taking the reg free dining QS, upgrading to the reg DP, and supplementing with TIW (will use next year as well). We booked 3 brunches, so I'm considering cancelling the Park Fare breakfast I have booked for Epcot day. We've done it a handful of times, and don't feel its a great value for our unallocated DP credits. I'm thinking of switching it out for Akershus lunch, as there are some new menu choices that look interesting, but didnt enjoy the old dishes there 2 years ago. Want to make sure the Viking Grill is delicious and not just overpriced (like Chef Mickey's) cause we don't care that much about characters. Plus, it is in the park so less running around. Is this a good replacement, or is there something better? Doing CR and the Italian restaurant for dinner on other days.

I think Chefs de France is a good value for DDP because you get three courses for your credit. Soup/Salad, entree and a dessert.

ETA: TO NOT CONFUSE ANYONE I'm talking about the PRIX FIX menu option.

What is Viking Grill? Is that a new dining option in Norway?

Good rule of thumb. If Disney is providing characters (princesses in this case) the food will be edible but not really very good.

Only if you are doing the Prix Fixe menu, not the regular menu

Yes. That’s true. But I guess if you’re looking for bang for your buck (or dining credit) that’s where it’s at :)
But you never said anything about the special menu in your post . How was the OP to know? Very misleading.

For real?

It's not a "special menu". It's an option on the main menu for all to see. Anyone who opened the menu would see the Prix Fix option I was referencing. But Ok. Thanks for clarifying for the OP. I'm sure they wouldn't have been able to figure it out otherwise.
