Other than Walt Disney World, what's the best vacation that you've ever had? My wife and I agree that we love Newport, RI. It's a little expensive in the summer, but the off-season rates are very reasonable. There's lots to see and do, and there are several excellent restaurants. :)

Besides going to Disneyland with my family, I would have to say our trips down to San Diego to visit my uncle. He would always take us to Tiawana (the spelling slipped my mind). We would always have such a good time together. :goodvibes

We have enjoyed our trips up to Ogunquit Maine. When we stay at Gorge's Grant we are on the trolley line and we can take it to the beach or downtown. (do they still run the trolley?) Lots of shops to poke around in, and THE BEST lobster!

The last cruise i went on..my mom, dad , brother, his best friend (he had just gotten back from Iraq), aunt, uncle, cousin , and cousin's friend.
It was my third cruise but i never had so much fun..it was amazing! It was great knowing that Steve was finally home and celebrating with us on the cruise!

i have less than60 days til the next one and cant wait

We have had a few (it's too hard to pick just one!)
- Negril, Jamaica- we weddingmooned there at one of the Sandals and it was awesome! Even with a tropical storm!
-Vancouver and Whistler, BC- Had so much fun!!!! (even though with DH getting 3 broken ribs from falling while snowboarding)
-Brazil- took DH there when he was just DBF, it was so much fun adn we did so many different things!
-Alaskan cruise- really amazing

Without a doubt, the two weeks we spent in Hawaii last year. We spent a week on Maui, 4 days on the big island and 3 days in Waikiki.

We were there to celebrate our 20th anniversary, and even though our 3 kids were with us, it was still an incredibly fun, romantic trip.

wasn't really a vacation-

i went to England in 98' for my Grandmother's 100th birthday.

I hadn't been there since I was a little kid.
I had a blast in London. Then it was fun going to see the family in Ipswich.

DH and I went to Sandals Montego Bay, Jamaica in 1996 and absolutely loved it. That was a great trip, and I hope to go back there someday!

Hawaii! We went snorkeling, drove the rode to Hana, took an awesome helicopter ride, went to the Ocean Center, Pearl Harbor, relaxed on the beach, went to a luau. It was amazing.

My husband and I love the Caribbean, Turks and Caicos is by far our favorite destination. The water looks like turquoise glass, it's so calm and beautiful. My husband is a diver and he says that's just great there. We've been 3 times and can't wait to go again!

Other than family trips to Disney World, our best vacation was in Vail, Colorado. Celebrated our 30th anniversary there in 2004. Went back again this year.

Love it!

I loved my cruise through the Panama Canal.

If I hadn't I would not be doing the Mediterranean next year at Disney prices.

i travelled a lot when i was younger. probably the most amazing trip i went on was to moscow and paris. we spent about 12 days in moscow and 4 days in paris. we went with a family friend who had all of her family in moscow and we really got an insiders view of the way of life there.
paris was nice, not really any better to me then NYC, which i am used to. i did meet a really gorgeous guy there and we struggled with a short lived, long distance relationship.

DH and I went to the big island of Hawaii about 9-10 years ago- it was so great! :sunny:

When racing Jetski's I went to the World Championships and raced.

It was in Lake Havasu Arizona Not much around but boy was that the place to be on the water. We went up the river afew days between racing and copper c. was just tooooo wild. The original London Bridge is there as well.

I been many other places with my sports and mostly Beach Vacation that are not Disney . Our trip to Cali in June 05 was very nice as well but I do consider that another Disney trip as thats the main reason for going.

No question -- 2 weeks on Waikiki for our 30th Anniversary. Fantastic.

It's a tie.

Baxter State Park in Maine. I went with my now ex-husband. It was a great trip anyway. We saw all sorts of animals that I had only seen in zoos, if at all. Bears, moose, all sorts of birds... we even saw a mama deer with her fawn. The only down side to the trip was the place I brought my photos to, lost them all. :furious: :furious:

Eugene, Oregon and Crater Lake National Park. I went with my now DH. It was a combination Masters track and field meet and sightseeing vacation for us. The Cascades, amazing wildlife, my first view of the Pacific Ocean and Crater Lake... Oregon is a truly beautiful state. :thumbsup2

We have been to Hilton Head twice and had such a great time! Looking forward to our 3rd trip next April!

DH and I went to Williamsburg for our first anniversary and had SUCH a great time. Again, another place we would love to go back to, just waiting for DS to get a little bit older. :)
