My DH loves grilled Tuna and is quite picky about it being med-rare. What's the best place YOU've had Tuna at WDW?

Thanks!

pollyanna, I'm not a rare tuna person myself, but DH is and he really likes the tuna at Flying Fish. He gets it just seared on the outside.

California Grill has excellent tuna. I seem to remember it was crusted with sesame seeds and served over tangy soba noodles, with wasabi drizzled around the edge of the plate.

Kona Cafe has unbelievable tuna, prepared exactly how it was ordered and one of the better cuts I've had in a restaurant.

A friend had the Sesame crusted tuna when we ate at Flying Fish and it was fantastic. He hardly had a bite left after he offered us a taste.

Another vote for the Moroccan spiced tuna at Spoodles. :) It is wonderful. I was talking with the waiter last time and he said you wouldn't believe how any guests ask for it well-done. Talk about dry! ;) It is sushi-grade so you can even ask for it rare if you'd like. Enjoy! :)

The Kona Cafe is located at the Polynesian resort (same level as monorail entrance in main lobby). :)

My son loved the tuna at Fulton's Crab House and it wasn't overcooked at all.

The Hollywood Brown Derby:

Sesame Seared Yellowfin Tuna over wasabi cucumber tatsoi salad and sweet mango roll $19.99

:D

My DH had it at Narcoosee and said it was the best that he ever had.

DH loves his tuna - the rarer the better. I like a few bites, but cannot eat it as the entire meal. He has had it at Spoodles, Flying Fish, Narcoossees, and the Tuna Cobb at Brown Derby (rare tuna sliced over a variation of their regular cobb). He loved them all! His particular favoriite was the Morroccan spiced tuna at Spoodles - he really liked the spices used to flavor the tuna.

He has always said that the tuna at all the WDW restaurants has been very good quality - something so very important when it is cooked rare.

He is a fisherman, himself, and I grew up at a marina, so we are used to very fresh fish.

I can recommend the tuna at Flying Fish, Narcoossee's and the California Grill. I'm a tuna person as well. Keep in mind, that all of these restaurants serve fresh seafood, so it whether or not tuna is on the menu on a particular evening will depend on availability. One resturant might have it and the other might not. It might be worth a phone call before you go. I think my favorite is at Flying Fish because they will prepare it very simply w/o a lot of other flavors, which happens to be my preferred way to eat it.
