best TS for solo

the BBQ place in AK although I think thats QS, the english pub in epcot, they have a nice bar. how do you not do Be our guest in MK. Solo or not!!!

I've enjoyed relaxing at an outdoor table on the lake at SRT & R&C. One day, I plan to try Chefs de France & LeCellier but am kind of wary because the tables in both are so close together.. Not bad I suppose if you're in the mood to be social during your meal. Speaking of being social, if you are then go to Biergarten where the seating is a communal table of 8 guests. Other than that, almost any TS would be fine for solo dining. There are places with lounges so you can opt to sit there as well instead of a table.

The R&C treated me especially well. It was lunchtime and it started raining, so my server brought me a cup of tea and told me to take my time. I've also really enjoyed Coral Reef (at a tank-side table) and California Grill. My biggest tip is that almost any TS can be good for a solo if, when you check in, point out that you're solo and since you won't have anyone to carry on a conversation with, you'd really like a nice view.

Anywhere!!!! At Biergarten you will become part of a table for eight, so just be aware of that with your decision making. But otherwise, solos are welcome everywhere.

At character meals, you may have to make friends with the family next to you if you really want photos. I've done a couple of those solo, but I prefer them when traveling with others. The one time, I did make friends with the family next to me, and they loved having me as their photographer so they could get everyone in group shots, that was fun. The other time, was at Tusker House and I wasn't in an outgoing mood, so I didn't do that, but since I was there for the food anyway, I still enjoyed my meal. The group of very drunk adults not far from my table was entertaining. My waitress did take one for me and a character handler did the one for me, so I got a couple of photos.

Just pick where you want to eat!

You won't have any problems going anyplace you desire! If you're nervous about taking a whole table for yourself, which is no big deal anyway, you can eat at TS that have a bar to eat at. You should go where ever you want! Treat 'yo self!

I don't think there is any spot that is actually bad. What do you want your meal time to be because some places are a lot more interactive with the people dining and that becuase a little more awkward (to me) when your trying to eat? Also some places don't have smaller tables so it'll be yourself at a table for 6-10 if that would impact your comfort. It would be easier to help pick out places to avoid (or when you should just sit and order from the bar instead of the full table experience).

has anyone ever eaten at skipper canteen solo? I super want to try it but I don't want it to be awkward. I never do table service solo!

I'm not a huge fan of TS solo, but I have eaten at The Plaza solo and had tea at the Grand Floridian solo. Love the bar at Raglan Road - can eat, drink, and enjoy the entertainment! When I'm solo I tend to go cheaper, stay at values, eat at QS.

If you want to, go for it! If you are nervous about it, try eating at a less crowded time, take something to read if it would make you feel better.

I ate at Skippers solo on my birthday trip in August and it was the best meal of my trip! Try it for sure, the food is delicious and the servers were terrific. I hope you go and have an amazing time!

After doing a solo trip I prefer to do more quick service meals. Infact, resort quick service can be the easiest. You can even go to your resort room with your meal.

If I do table service I prefer lunch times. If I feel a tad bit lonely I will do Teppan Edo and/or Biergarten; because, there is group seating. I can usually start up a conversation with anyone.

I enjoy TS solo at Coral Sea, because you are seated by the tank - up close & personal! :)

agree with PP who said Skippers. I went twice by myself and loved it. Servers were great and the food was wonderful...

Best solo dining experience I've had was at Boma. I picked an early time at 4:35pm, soon after the place had opened for dinner. They put me in a great table in a corner so I wasn't sandwiched between other families. The buffet means that you don't have to sit around by yourself. You can immediately get up to grab food at your leisure.

I've also been to Boma during the busy dinner hours solo. The only table that was available was in the section where the tables are really close together. I didn't like that as much because it felt like I was an extra wheel to the couples sitting around me, but it wasn't that bad. The waiter assumed I was a CM for some reason.

Service was great on both occasions. I'd definitely go back if I find myself on another solo trip. I'd think that restaurants in hotels are always a good place for solo meals.

We ate at Le Cellier many years ago. We had a 9PM reservation-it was back when reservations were almost impossible to get. There was no one in the restaurant except us and another couple. We were seated at tables that were approximately 6 inches from each other. They effectively forced us to eat together. Then we were treated to about 90 minutes from our server complaining about how his customers don't say thank you enough and how it really ticked him off.

going solo for first time. from your experiences what are the better restaurants (TS) to do solo.
I have only eaten one TS solo but I didn't really feel comfortable. Maybe if I keep practising I will feel more at ease. I don't have a problem eating QS alone. Maybe it was the venue (the Plaza) as it's quite small. I have booked another TS for December so hopefully I will feel more relaxed.

Don't push yourself! I only ate QS for the first 3-4 times, but then I said "Everyone says I should be comfortable eating TS so I will". Well, I didn't feel at all comfortable, so I went back to just eating QS, until I was ready to try it again. Now I have no trouble, feel perfectly comfortable.

I've done multiple solo trips (both at Disney and other locations), any TS will be fine. But if you're worried that you'll be bored or awkward then look to do the experience dining places. Scifi Diner, Hoop de Doo, even character meals have lots of distracting things to do. I never worry over much about sitting alone but I'm the type of person who is happy in my own company no matter what I do so that may influence my opinion. I also have an invisible cord between me and my phone LOL so I've always got something to look at.

I don't go on solo trips (yet) but after so many visits, last year I was determined to try new places or return to places I enjoy even if no one else wants to go along with me. This year I'm doing the same and intend to do a lot more solo stuff if others don't want to come along. I want to make the most of every minute of every day.
