Best trip ever with my 2 yr old & bf! Moved by disney from pop to deluxe!!!!

Our DS2 is tall too (42"). So nice to ride BTRR over and over again. My next question will be..... will Conner ride ToT???? My DS2 loved the "bumpy elevator" ride. :rotfl2:

The teacups are always one of my favorite rides to get pics of my little boy on. The little ones just have so much fun on that ride & it always shows!

Sounds like y'all had a very productive morning! Trying to figure out where the "dragon" may be. :scratchin

Count me in on this TR! Super cute family! My DS was like yours at that age, heck he's still like that. No fear and being really tall for his age meant we got to do a lot of rides early. Can't wait to hear how he liked Soarin'

Grrrrr..about the stroller!

Enjoying this report. We just love Mickey's Philharmagic. That is so cute when the kids try to grab things.

Your son is such a cutie. It is cute to see them sacked out like that.

Still waiting to see where you were upgraded to!!!

Great teacup pictures. Connor just keep getting cuter and cuter.

You were really able to use FP's from last year. No worries, I won't tell.

Fun update!

I'm enjoying your trip report :)

Thank you!:goodvibes

Wow you really got some great pictures of your family on the tea cups! :lovestruc It is a great idea for Conner to have some money of his own to spend and that way he can learn the value of saving :thumbsup2

Thanks, I love them!:)

I love the pictures you got on the teacups. Have subscribed to your trip report :thumbsup2

Thanks for joining:goodvibes

I too am dying to find out about your upgrade to Deluxe. Seeing the construction pics is getting me super excited. We have to trips booked for late next year and I cant wait to see the new additions.

Almost to that chapter of our trip! I'm excited to see the additions too...when they are DONE!!!:thumbsup2

I begged an pleaded with JR for Conner to go on ToT, but he was a party pooper and wouldn't let me :sad2: He didn't want Conner to have a horrible time on ToT, and then be afraid of other rides too. I guess one of us has to be responsible...:confused3

How cool that your DS was able to ride Splash and BTMRR. :) My DS was somehow scared of BTMRR this trip-he really missed Goofy's Barnstormer and was having nothing to do with Splash or BTMRR. Eventually he warmed up to Splash> and rode it 4 times!

The night of the dragon was finally here!

Of course we had to fight Conner to take a REAL nap once we had gotten back to our room, but we managed. Around 5pm, we woke up and got ready for our first visit of the trip to MGM!!! Aka Disneys Hollywood Studios for some. It will always be MGM to me:)

Me and my goob:lovestruc

Our first ride, you ask? Star Tours! :3dglassesI was hesitant to put Conner on this ride because I knew it was dark and a little on the loud side. But my big brave boy LOVED it! He asked if we could go again! Conner especially liked the robots that interacted with you in line (not that there was much of a line...I think we waited 5 or 10 minutes tops).

Conner didn't want JR or I to put our hands on the armrests, he needed them to hold onto. Throughout the ride, Conner would yell and say "WHOAAAAAA" :lmao: SO SO cute.

After Star Tours, we made our way over to Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Last year, Conner didn't sit very well for Nemo, so JR was not too thrilled when I asked to see a show. The good thing about this show is that its nice and short...15 minutes vs. an hr for Nemo. Conner did really well. He really liked the bubbles that came down from the ceiling. Not so sure he was a fan of getting wet (they sprinkle water on you from time to time to make you feel like you are at sea with Ariel).

After Voyage of The Little Mermaid, we had a quick dinner at Pizza Planet! Jr and I each got a pizza, and Conner got a kids snack pack. The snack pack came with carrots and dip, string cheese, a cookie, milk, and a yogurt. It might have even come with some goldfish. Either way, for $6, it was a pretty good deal (for Disney:thumbsup2)

Once we finished up with dinner, we headed over to get seats for Fantasmic. I think we got our seats 45 minutes before Fantasmic was supposed to start, and we had to sit all the way to the left of the stadium (if you are facing the show) It was pretty awesome though because we were right in front.

***Ok, so time for a quick sidenote. Has anyone ever seen How To Train Your Dragon? It's a newer cartoon movie that Conner is pretty much obsessed with. Every morning I have to run to my car because "mom, theres a dragon!!!!!!!!!!" And in the months leading up to our disney trip, every time I would ask Conner where we were going he would say "to see Mickey Mouse....and dragons!" So, needless to say, this kid HAD to see a dragon at some point in Disney. Which is why I made it top priority to get decent seats for Fantasmic because yes, there is a dragon in the show!

While we waited for the show to start, Conner made his second and third Disney purchase--- a light up wand and spinning buzz. These two toys, combined with the snacks I had, helped keep Conner busy.

Waiting for the show:

I tried desperately to get my camera to take some good pictures, but it super stinks in the dark :sad1: I really want a NICE, big girl, Cannon camera...sigh. Maybe by our next trip:thumbsup2

Conner did relatively well with Fantasmic, with every part BUT the darn dragon! He was scared, like hide in my arm pit scared. I felt really bad because I knew he was excited to see a dragon. Guess these are a little different than the dragons in How to Train Your Dragon:confused3

Jr and I decided to get up and start walking to the exit a couple of minutes before the show ended considering where our seats were. When we got to our stroller, it had been burried in a sea of other strollers. When I say burried, I mean other strollers were literally tossed on top of it. Why must everyone attempt to ruin my pretty new stroller?!

We finally got our stuff together and booked it for the exit. The park was closing right when Fantasmic had started, so I knew if we wanted to get on a bus, we had to hurry. Well, the line for POP was outrageous! We walked by all of the people and some woman thought we were trying to butt in line, and decided it would be a good idea to yell at me. Well guess what lady?! I'm walking by ALL of you to get in a cab! Take those cookies! :lmao:

For $8, with a tip might I add, we took a cab back to Pop. Conner was falling asleep in our arms on the ride back, so I was happy to get dropped off a short 5 minutes later.

We all fell right asleep when we got back to our room. The next day, we had tickets for a very fun, special event!!! And we had zero plans for the first half of the day (other than to sleep in, of course).

We woke up the next morning around 8:30 am (nice time sleeping in, right? :lmao:) We had breakfast in our room, and headed to the bus stop. We decided to save todays park ticket for our next trip because my mom had bought us tickets into Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party for later that night. You can enter the MK at 4pm, so we figured it would be nice to look around Downtown Dis!

For years, I have been dying to eat at T Rex. Well guess what, JR let me!

I know, I know. You are wondering what in the world Conner is doing with my face. Well, T Rex has a meteor shower every 20 minutes or so, and it gets kind of loud. For the past couple of days, when we were on loud rides, or watching a loud show, Conner would take my hands and cover his ears. I think he was trying to protect me in case I was scared of the meteor shower. Love him :)

After T Rex, we spent a little bit of time at the world of disney....actually scratch that, it was a lot of time lol I bought Conner some Tigger jammies for him to wear to MNSSHP that night. I also bought wine glasses for my mom and JRs mom, a keychain for my grandfather, and a notepad and pen for my grandmother.

Finally, I had ooed and ahhed enough while Conner slept in his stroller, and it was time to head back to our room for naptime. Well, we almost got in a pretty bad accident on the bus ride from DTD to Pleasure Island, and it took FOREVER to get out of the puzzle our bus had gotten us in with about 3 other buses. So Conner and I played with the camera :)

Oh and I forgot! Conner bought himself a bubble maker at the $15 and under store at DTD. He used up all of the bubbles in like 10 minutes of course, but he loved his new toy.

Finally we got back to POP, and it was nap time! We had to get some beauty sleep in before MNSSHP!!!! I should call this night, "the good, the bad, and the ugly" You can only imagine why....STAY TUNED!!!

Great trip report! Your Conner is adorable, it's fun to see him having so much fun!

Sounds like y'all had a nice night in DHS. Too bad Conner didn't like the dragon. It's so hard at that age to know how they'll react to things.

That's scary that the bus from DTD about got y'all into a wreck. :scared1: Can't wait to hear all about MNSSHP!

Ooooh does this 'good, bad and ugly' have to do with the resort change?! I can't wait to find out!

You have me hooked on your report. We are trying to plan a trip this Spring and it is looking like Value or no go... We haven't had good experiences at Value, but I might cave. With 5 of us it will be quite a squeeze, expecially since our last trip we were bumped to CL at BC!
Oh well...Value or No Disney- I vote Value...:goodvibes

Can't wait to hear where you were upgraded to, and why!

Oh my-I would have paid extra if you could've gotten the cab driven to drive past the lady who was yelling at you so you could wave goodbye to your new 'friend'!! :rotfl: Some people are ridiculous!!

What a fun day at DTD!!
