Best trip ever with my 2 yr old & bf! Moved by disney from pop to deluxe!!!!

.
You will LOVE the polynesian. Shoving everyone in one room will be well worth it in the end. If you start thinking otherwise in the middle of your trip, just start picturing the size of those value/moderate rooms!!

If I start thinking otherwise I will just remember your bugs! I have requested ground floor so we can have a patio instead of just a little balcony, but now thinking maybe top floor would be better ;) Or maybe I can bring a can of RAID in my luggage :rotfl:

After our cat nap, it was time to visit MGM!!! But not before I could explore some more of our beautiful resort!

My goob ready to go!

So, I want to give everyone the low down on The Neverland Club. And let me start out by saying, this place is AWESOME! Kids can't go until they are 3 years old and they must be potty trained. I tried to peek in it on my last trip, but couldn't because there were kids inside. This time, there was NO ONE there. When you walk in, there is a little check in desk next to what is supposed to be Wendy's bed. Then you step through the window into Neverland. As someone who was pretty much in love with Peter Pan as a child, this was SO cool to me.

Inside, there are computers, dress up costumes, games, toys, movies. Oh, its so cool. I can't remember the hours, but I remember the prices!! For one kid, it's $11 per hour, with a 2 hour minimum. And, if your child attends Neverland Club during dinner time, they get a complimentary meal from Captain Cook's. Yes, complimentary. I thought that was super cool. What a steal?! Mom and Dad can go out for a nice Luau, while the munchkin plays with some pals his age, and has dinner at the Neverland club. What more could you ask for?

I didn't take any pictures, but I found some of these online:

We finally made our way to MGM, and I couldn't help but take some pictures of the one ride I had been DYING to get on for days now:

TOT!!!

298849_775888641237_45609619_37391389_1433111533_n.jpg

And I was pretty mad that my camera was taking not so great pictures, but now I think they cool spooky!!

JR let me go first, and he got a rider swap pass. The line was only 15 minutes long, and check out the pictures I snapped inside.

I always love the people who work at this ride, they all get so into it, which makes the experience ten times better.

And the girl who put me on my elevator was FABULOUS!!! I loved her. I was the first person in line waiting to get in a row for my elevator, and I had a huge cheesy smile on my face because I was overexcited (as usual). And she saw my huge cheesy smile as an opportunity to take advantage of me lol She walked right up to me, and put her face literally 2 inches from mine, and just looked at me with this spooky smile. She was too funny.

She asked me what I was so excited for, and I said "I'm ready to drop!!!', and she said "drop? well, I would certainly hope you would not drop...but you never know" lol It was hilarious.

I got on the elevator, and right as the door closed she said "oh, and one more thing...." And then the doors shut.

My drop was fun as ever, and I was sad when it ended. Next up, it was JR's turn to use his rider swap pass. And he loves me so much that he let me use it and go again. I knew I loved you for a reason :thumbsup2

I was so excited to go again!!! The line went quickly, especially since I was in the fastpass side. I got to the end of the line, and my girl was gone. :sad1:

I was sad, but still super stoked that JR gave me his turn. And then it all went down hill. This group of like 7 people got on with what looked like a three year old, and he was obviously terrified. I was in the top row all the way in the corner, the mom was next to me, the kid next to the mom, and some guy in their party was on the other side of the kid. The entire ride, this stupid stupid man was flashing his BRIGHT camera phone, taking pictures of the kid. He took so many, it was like he was attempting to make a flip book of pictures. I'm not joking. Click, two seconds, click, two seconds, click. It was so bright, it was ruining the ride.

Then, we started to drop, and the kid seriously had a panic attack. As a mother, I would have consoled my child, and done everything I could to make him feel safe until the ride ended. What did this mom do, you ask? She screamed the entire time, and payed not one bit of attention to her terrified child. Ruined the whole freaking ride. Some people just don't care about anyone else but themselves. Oh well...

After TOT, it was time to get Conner on a ride. And off to Toy Story we went!! The wait was 120 minutes long!!! 120 minutes?!?!?! But, we had a fastpass from the day before that we hadn't used, and guess what? We used it, no problem lol Sorry if you were one of those crazy people waiting in line, there was no way Conner would have lasted through that. I think this might have turned into JR's second favorite ride. He got so into it. It was my first experience, and it was really cool. I especially liked how interactive it was. Next time, I would like to play the games though lol I let Conner and JR have both controllers while I sat in the middle.

After Toy Story, I haven't a clue what rides or shows we went to. I'm having a complete brain fart. So I will end here for the day.

The next day was our last full day, and we still had so much fun stuff to do! Up next, our last visit to Epcot of the trip :sad2: and a wonderful night in MK

You know, come to think of it, I've never had a girl put me in the elevator on TOT. Not sure why but's it's always been a guy.

The Neverland Club looks so cute. What little kid wouldn't want to play there?

Which longhouse is this? I see you stay in Tokelau? Is it that one? The ground floor patios look great. I requested ground floor, so we can open the doors while we get ready in the morning and DS can play outside on the lawn. I know some of the older longhouses have more mature foliage and there's not a lot of room to play. Just wondering....

Love the ToT pictures. Don't think I have ever seen so much inside. GREAT! Love the pic of Conner at the beginning..."Alright mom, lets go!" :yay:

Just catching up... I loved Conner's halloween costume. How cute & creative. Now who was thing 2? :)

I love the pictures of the Poly... I never took time to explore - only breezed through the lobby on our way to the monorail. Now I see I've been missing a lot - like the gorgeous sandy beach area.

Loving this TR...

TOT..never again for me.:lmao: I bet I was as scared as the little kid. Sorry your ride was ruined. I can't believe they had their child ride, I hope it didnt scare him off of other rides for the rest of the day.

I also loved TSM, I would never wait 120 min though. Glad you had fast passes!

Monday, October 3rd

A sad but happy day.

Conner finally met his first character of the trip this morning in Epcot, and boy oh boy, did he fall in love! For starters, Conner already loves Lilo and Stitch to pieces, so I was pretty excited that he got to see the real Stitch in person:thumbsup2

I kind of thought that he was going to be afraid because the first visit with characters on our last trip didn't go over so well with him. But low and behold, he walked right up to Stitch! He handed Stitch his autograph book, and just looked at him in awe.

Right when it was time to walk away, Stitch 'licked' Conner's hand. :lmao:

Next up was Living with the Land, and I took a gazillion pictures. So many people skip this ride, and I can't understand why because it really is super cool

After the Land, we grabbed a fastpass for Soarin'. I had originally decided not to take Conner on, but changed my mind because he was doing so well with the other big rides. We had some time to kill so we decided to use a fastpass we had for Test Track. Conner had been plenty tall enough for the other rides, so I figured we would get on with no problems. Yeah, not so much. Conner was a good two inches below the mark. AGAIN! Ugh, it was just like Dinosaur. He would have loved this ride, and they tried to say he wasn't tall enough. Again, this would be all good and fine if he really wasn't. The thing that kills me is, they say, oh its for his own safety. So in my mind I'm thinking, was he not safe the 15 times he rode BTMRR? Or Splash Mountain? Or Star Tours? :confused3

Either way, we had to move on, and so we decided to tour the countries. Conner napped in his stroller, which made perfect timing for me to snack around the worlds! Don't forget, I was there during the food and wine festival :thumbsup2

The sad thing is, I honestly can't remember to save my life, which countries I tried food/drinks at. I do remember having cheese soup from Canada, which was fabulous as usual. I also had cheese fondue, which I don't think was set up in a country. The fondue was at it's own little cheese stand. I also tried two different wines, not sure which country though.

My mom would probably laugh because that's all I tried, but hey, we were on a budget! JR had his special drink from Italy, which was $10 might I add. But it was fab, I made him share lol It was a slushy type drink with grey goose. Yum!

Conner was still snoozing away when we got to my favorite pavillion of all time...JAPAN!!! I love love love the pearls. It's so fun picking them out, and I just couldn't resist.

So, before I start, let me tell you that the average size pearl is a 6.5 (whatever measurement that is), and the little girl that went before me picked a 9.75. It was HUGE! No joke, it was the biggest darn pearl I had ever seen. Even the women who worked at the pearl place were amazed.

Next up was my turn

The lady opened my shell, and I didn't see a thing. Well, she poked and prodded around, and finally..out popped my BABY pearl.

It was a doozie. A 6.75 :guilty: And it was yellow....not really my color.

So after a few minutes of deciding I was not a fan, I elected to purchase another pearl. This time, hoping for a pink, white, or grey. The lady before me this time picked a big beautiful grey pearl. It was stunning!!! Apparantly that rarely happens.

After two full minutes of desperately trying to shuck my shell, they finally got it open. And out came my beautiful white (with a hint of pink) pearl!

308728_775892054397_45609619_37391453_1831516856_n.jpg

I watched for a minute as one of the ladies analyzed it and showed it to another lady. I've never seen them do this, so when they handed my pearl to me, I thought "I better take a look at this.."

My pretty pearl had a HUGE scratch and dent! I was so sad. Today was just not my day when it came to picking out a pearl. I ended up talking to a manager, and she switched my second pearl out with some they had in the back (same color tones to it). I had it mounted on a clam shell, and put it on a neclace I already had.

The pearl itself was 15.95, and my shell was 12.95. It was my special purchase of the trip.

Well, you know, lots of people get the flu in December. Maybe you'll be sick and have to miss work anyway. :cool1: So what if you know you are going to get sick and plan this said sickness way ahead of time. ;)

Joining in too! I have a soon-to-be 3 year old that we took when she was not quite 2 and we're taking her back right before she turns 3 in December. I can't wait!

Love your report so far!

i love the poly pics boy i loved staying there. There is nothing more convenient than a single mom at disney with her 15 month old and lugging that stroller, never had to fold it up staying there and EPCOT day :thumbsup2 so fun i love EPCOT. i hope he makes it on soarin

I am a little late to the party, but better late than never, right??!! ;)

Your little man is such a cutie! He always looks like he is having so much fun!

Boo to inaccurate measuring sticks! I can't wait until my DS is tall enough to get on some of the big rides, but it would really stink to tell him he can get on some of them but not all!

You really made out with the upgrade, sorry about the bugs, though. I would have freaked out if I thought there were spiders in the bed. I really hate spiders, so there is no way I would have been sleeping in that room either!

Can't wait to read more!

Thank you!! Our upgrade was fabulous, too bad it was a one time deal (minus the bugs of course)

Thanks for reading along:goodvibes

We made our way back to the land pavillion and they of course wanted to measure Conner at the fast pass entrance for Soarin'. He was literally a hair under the measurement post, and they wouldn't let him on. :headache:

ARGH! Gosh this was so annoying. Again, i totally get if he really wasn't the proper height, but he was!!!!!!!!

After Soarin' I was just aggrivated and tired, so we headed back to Poly for our afternoon snooze.

We had plans to spend the night in the Magic Kingdom, afterall, Conner had yet to see the Spectromagic parade!! And it was our last night:scared1: I always have to go into the Magic Kingdom first, and end with the Magic Kingdom. It wouldn't feel right to start and end in another park.

After a short nap, it was time to go!!

This picture is right outside of the entrance to our building!!

So the magic kingdom usually puts up tons of pumpkins for the halloween festivities, but this year they also added pictures of people (year of memories). I wasn't a huge fan. I personally would prefer just the pumpkins, rather than seeing pictures of random people in my pictures. But either way, we took some super cute/gooberish pictures.

Now here is the world's most difficult question. Where on earth do you think we headed for our first ride??? I know this is just SO hard so I will give you a hint, we had to take the train...

And here's your second guess...

Why BTMRR of course!!!!! Being Conner's favorite ride, we had to make this first on the list before anyone got too tired to ride. I think we rode a total of three times. BUT!!! you will never believe what almost happened. They tried to tell us that Conner wasn't tall enough!! Really?!?! Luckily, the girl at the entrance believed us, and let us on. Thank god too because that would have been so sad for Conner to miss his favorite ride on our last night.

After our trips on the wildest ride in the wilderness, we headed over to Splash Mountain.

Conner loved it all over again

After the big splash

Once we finished up with Splash, we headed over to JR's favorite QS restaurant, Pecos Bills. There was a HUGE line, and it was getting super close to the electric parade. I told JR to find a spot with Conner so we could make sure we had good seats. I think JR found our spot about 45 minutes before the parade started, and it was already packed. We were very lucky to find the seat we ended up with. I grabbed our food and brought it back to where JR and Conner were waiting. It was only another 15 minutes or so before the parade started. And was I ever glad it was starting because Conner was getting super sleepy

Poor guy fell out of bed one night at Poly and got a black eye :sad1:

I have a good amount of pictures of the electric parade, so I will put those up tomorrow. We also got Conner on another ride where I got some more amazing pictures. The following morning I also visited the Wedding pavillion and Grand Floridian. Stay tuned for some pretty, pretty pictures!!
