I was thinking it would be nice to have something special waiting for my 3 boys at our room when we arrive. They are young 5, 2.5 and2.5. Any ideas??

On our first trip to WDW I ordered a cookie bouquet from www.cookiebouquet.com

I ordered it so that when we came back from our first day in the parks it was waiting in our room.. We did a bouquet with different disney characters.. The kids loved it!! I think Im going to do one this next trip in May also..

Just so you know ahead of time, you can't have something waiting in your room. Your room isn't assigned to you until you check in. Now, if you have something delivered to the check-in desk and it is there when you arrive, and they aren't busy, you can ask if they would run up there before you get there and place it in your room. You can shop in the gift shop or look around for a while to stall, but with 3 little ones in tow, that might not be possible.

You can have it sent to your room while you are out like the previous poster said, and that might be a little eaiser for you.

Unless, of course, the OP is going to be in a concierge room. Those are usually assigned a couple of days ahead of time, and many posters have had the concierge staff place special things in the room ahead of time so that they are there when the guests arrive in their room.

What a great site. Thanks so much for sharing it.

This is probably a dumb question-but will they deliver the slipper dessert to our room? I'd like to surprise DD with it. She says she doesn't want us to celebrate her BD while we're there (she's turning 15) I think she'd really like it if we did.

On our last trip I made up bags ahead of time with each of my boys names on the them. Inside of each one was a personalized tshirt, disney jammies, small stuffed charater, disney pez, landyard with a pin, a home made personalized autograph book and journal to write about the trip, a wallet with disney dollars, and a disposable camera.
I checked in and then while my husband kept the boys busy in the gift shop I went up to the room and set them on the beds. I also did a small version for my DH. They were all so surprised!
Good luck and have a wonderful trip, Melissa

If you pack gift bags to take with you, after you check into your room and head out again, you can always do the "oh, I forgot such and such" and head back for a minute to put stuff out. I did this, and also sprinkled some "pixie dust" around the table and the packages. My kids thought Tink left them presents.

My kids loved having Mickey Ears with their names waiting when they arrived. (10 year old may not have been as thrilled as younger :) ). They put them on immediately and I got the best "I'm finally at Disney World" pic!

My kids also loved that I bought socks for ME at the Disney store prior to the trip. I didn't mention it to them, but they were oddly intrigued to see my new socks on our first day with a character on them. I had a new character each day and they always wanted to see right away who was on my socks! :rotfl: Very corny, I know. But, funny how those sorts of things excite kids and become silly memories.

In Dec., my sis and I did a sister trip (aka old bag trip) and when I made my ressies, mentioned it was her birthday. When we went into our room, there was a towel crown with stars on it and a candy bar, treat 'cake' with her name on it. So, they can have this stuff in your room prior to your checking in.

The resort itself can have stuff waiting for you, but an outside vendor cannot deliver something to your room prior to check-in. Perhaps it can deliver to the hotel and it can be held for you to claim once you get there.

We almost always order something from the Disney Florist. Sometimes it's waiting in the room when we arrive, sometimes it's delivered a little bit later. It's about 50/50, it seems.

I was looking on the Disney florist website yesterday and saw some snack baskets with mouse ears your children might enjoy!
