Best transportation to Universal?

Good morning all

Was wondering what suggestions you might have for the best transportation from Pop to Universal Studios? I won't be renting a car for our stay so I'm debating what'd be the most cost-effective (and hopefully convenient) way to go there for 1 day. I'll be traveling with DD9 and DS5 so that's also a consideration. Saving $$ is great but if it's too much of a hassle I think convenience will win out, especially with 2 kids in tow!

Cab is probably the cheapest although you can get Mears as well.

rent a car from disney for the day.

of course this way you need to add the $10 parking fee that US charges to your car rental.

Mears has a shuttle that is a per person charge. but I think it also has a van.
