Best townhouses near Universal?

We are going to the MK for 1 day, the rest of our trip will be Universal and Sea World. We have 5 in our family and we want a nice pool and a good price. Any suggestions?

I see a lot of Windsor Hills, how far is that from Universal?

Vista Cay is the very close to Universal, less than 10 minutes and you can see Sea World from Vista Cay. It sits right between International Drive and Universal Blvd. It was designed by the same developer that designed Windsor Hills so it is very similiar. The pool and club house are very nice, if you have any more questions I will try to answer them for you.

Hey Pembo: This may not be right next door to Universal, but you might want to check out the Dreams Villas of Orlando. They are in the Villas at Seven Dwarfs Lane in Kissimmee and only 7 miles from Universal. I just stayed in one January 7-17, and it was wonderful. We had six college students and myself staying in a 4 bedroom Villa on an alternative break trip to work at Give Kids The World (GKTW).

The owners were so thoughtful to leave gifts for the students working on the trip, and there were audible squeals of joy when they walked into the Villa. We found the location perfect. It was close to GKTW, I used the included Sam's Club membership extensively to stock the Villa, the students could walk to a number of restaurants and mini-golf, and we were a very short drive from all of the Disney attractions. The students went to Universal CityWalk a number of times too, so it wasn't all that far.

It was great to have the full kitchen for breakfasts to start our morning, and the 3 upstairs bedrooms and 2 bathrooms gave plenty of space for all the students. In addition, everyone loved hanging out by the pool and hot tub when they were not working at GKTW. I'm hoping this becomes an annual trip for us, and plan on reserving the Villa again for 2011 asap.
