Anyone uses towncar from airport to WDW resorts? Which is a good one? I read some good things about Tiffany and Happy Limo. Wanted some comments.

:sunny: I'll bump you up since I haven't gone yet. I asked the same question and perused the boards. Happy Limo and Tiffany were talked about the most- alot of others had a few mentions too. After looking at everything, I called Tiffany.
They were very nice on the phone. Said they would be waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs heading for baggage claim. You tell them your flight number, so they will know if you are late. 30 min stop at Publix. All fees included except gratuity (You had to pay extra stuff on Happy). RT was $95 without the tip. They will pick us up 2 hrs before our flight time on dep day. Everything sounded pretty good.
Good luck in finding what you need!

We've always used Florida Town Car and have always had excellent luck and service with them. We'll be using them on our next trip as well most likely.

My personal preference is Sunray Transportation. $90 R/T for SUVs, towncars, or vans with a free grocery stop and child seats . My transfers are always 'weird' (early flights home, different resorts on same trip, etc.) and they handle them with ease. The drivers are courteous, friendly & safe. Will be booking with them for my four upcoming trips this year. Good luck in your search!!

Cheers!

Just curious how payment works - I checked Tiffany web site and it seems they do not require advanced credit card payment. If you go for round-trip, do you pay the driver the full fare (e.g. $90 - 110) on first trip?

Furthermore, say single trip is $65, how much do you usually tip the driver?

Lastly, where do they drop you off at the resort? same as ME?

We have never been asked for credit card info up front from any of the towncar services we have used.
The driver will collect the round trip fare when you reach your Disney resort, whether cash or credit card. You will be dropped off at the entrance to your Disney resort where a Cast Member will come and assist you with your luggage.
I believe most people tip around $10-$15 for each side of the trip. You may not get the same driver going back to the airport so it's better to tip each way.

I love Sunray. :worship: I had used Tiffany on 3 previous trips. Had a really bad experience  on the last one (June 2003) and I was determined not to go back to them. Never had a problem with Sunray in 3 trips. Even after I screwed up and only gave them my initial flight number (from Philly to Atlanta), somehow they tracked us down.
They are $90 r/t but they do offer a discount.

Thanks wdwgoofeeee :)

Is it easy to identify the driver at the airport? Will he hold a card with the customer name written on it?

So you pay the full fare (including the return trip) upon arrival at the resort, and they will arrange a pick up on your departure date?

Do we need to go thru the security kiosk if we take town car? Just to show security the hotel voucher (I booked resort + flight via a tour operator)?

What I got from the Tiffany rep when we made our reservation is that you pay the driver when you meet him or get to the resort (for us to WDW, it was $95 RT - if you are round trip you pay the full fare then).
Tip is up to you. Remember, you may have a different driver on the way back, so only do half a tip. It depends on how much luggage you might have, etc. I'll probably do $15 for each driver.
They drop you off at the front door of the resort. Not sure where ME does it, but you should be dropped right at the door to the lobby. We're staying at SOG, so we can't use ME. Plus, this gets us a 30 min grocery stop at Publix.
