Best to go to Costco......??

Which day would be best - today or next Friday?

I know both days will be crazy, due to the Thanksgiving holiday and Black Friday.

But which day, do you think, will be less crazy?

We need to get a membership, and get some stuff for our family.

Whichever day, go early--as soon as they open. Most people can't get out early. You won't be able to do that today since you're posting this at 1:00 p.m.

Costco doesn't really have Black Friday sales so people won't be going there for special deals; however, a lot of people are off work that day and out shopping so I would expect it to be like a typical Saturday in there.

Couple years ago I went to Costco and black Friday, but I went when it first open and they weren't that crowded yet. So if you do go, go early.

I vote Black Friday at the crack of dawn. Anyday you go should be at the opening time. It gets so busy there around the holidays. I'm going during the Ohio State-Michigan game on Saturday after Thanksgiving. We are in Columbus so everyone-and I mean everyone -will be glued to their TVs. Best time to Christmas shop around here.

Do you have to go during those times? What about monday or tuesday following black friday? It'll be crazy there regardless.

I am leaving to go right now. I know they are having "holiday samples" this weekend although I do not know the times they are handing out the samples. It is probably too late for me.....

We ended up going today. It was an hour away, so we got there around noonish, and checked out at 1:45.

DH had not been there in 20+ years, and DS had never been there.

We got some stuff for the family, as well as a veggie tray for Thanksgiving, and a large fruit bowl (that will probably be gone by Thanksgiving, LOL).

We were smart shoppers, and I think we did good. The crowds were not bad at all, for a Saturday afternoon. There were a LOT of sample people out there - just about every aisle had someone giving out samples. We had pizza and salad at the little concession stand before we started shopping though.

Glad we went today instead of next Friday. I am sure traffic would be worse then, plus we got some goodies for the house and DS's lunches.
