I am going to WDW in July but I usually go in Oct. with lowcrowds.
What are your best tips to get :wizard: around :wizard: the :sad2: lines :guilty: :furious:

-Fastpass

-Arrive before opening.

-Single riders line (on some attractions)

if staying on property try and utilize the extra park hours... this way there is less of a crowd and you can try to get to the more "popular" rides first.
I also agree w/ using the Fastpass....
Have a fun time! :sunny:

Join Tour Guide Mike and use all his awesome tips!! Well worth the 18.95!!!

That is what I am counting on. I am going in July as well. From what I have read so far, his ideas make a lot of sense.

Get to the park WELL BEFORE opening. Sometimes if crowds are huge they'll open earlier. Even if they don't - if you're there at opening you can pretty much count on the first hour not having long lines for things. Do as many big things as possible in that hour and then use fast pass and go to minor attractions or big capacity attractions (i.e Tiki Birds or Hall of Presidents). Use the EMH's - but if it's a morning one I'd suggest hopping to another park after the park opens because it's more crowded IMO on EMH mornings.

We go during the summer months all the time and we just don't wait in long lines. We follow the above strategy and the take a long swim break in the afternoon and then go back at night.

1. Go early...get there at least 1/2 hour before official opening time.

2. Know where you want to go and how to get there.

3. Plan on doing rides early, but get fast passes for some as you are doing others so you can do them later.

4.Depending on how many days you have, in MK we have one day doing Frontierland, Adventureland and Fantasyland early and another for Tomorrowland.

5.Break up the waits or waiting for FP with things like Carousel of Progress, or in Epcot some of the movies.

6.Leave when the crowds get heavy or use that time to shop, sit and have a snack, people watch or just enjoy the things you do not notice when rushing past them. We like to look at the gardens, the architectural details, etc.

Get as much done as you can in the morning. Keep the less popular attractions for the afternoon. Have counter service lunch and TS meals at early hours(less crowds in restaurants).

Always have a fastpass in hand, and delegate someone to be the FP runner.

Have realistic expectations

Above advice is great. Adding:

- Make sure you can park hop, to 'cherry pick' the best times to be at each park.

- Take afternoon breaks. The parks will be craaazy, and the last 3 hours before a park closes will be better than 3 hours in the afternoon - particularly when the parks are open quite late and there is EMH-PM.

IMHO - YMMV - Be well!

Get there early 1/2 before park opens and hustle the first 2 hrs to get the major rides out of the way. :thumbsup2

1. Get to the parks early
2. Leave the parks 12 PM to 5 PM
3. Park Hopper Option for flexible planning

Agree with this post :thumbsup2

We get there before park opening and go to the major rides during the first couple of hours. :thumbsup2 Then we leave when the crowd levels pick up and it gets very warm (about 11:30am) head back to the hotel to cool off.. and return around 4:30 to another park...

Don't forget about the touring plans from the Unofficial Guide!!
They do work very well, especially on busy days.

UOG touring plans are actually more scientifically tested for efficiency than TGM

In addition to agreeing with all the foregoing recommendations, let me add a note concerning what my (then) 7 YO daughter and I did on a one day drive-over-from-the-beach MK trip last July. We made an 8AM Crystal Palace breakfast reservation...not because we particularly wanted to see Pooh and the gang...not because we wanted to pay $$$ for bacon-n-eggs...but because we wanted to get a jump on the early AM crowd. We had a nice breakfast, paid our bill, and were at the Liberty Square rope about 8:45. Rode BTMRR first, and were the only riders on our particular train. Then Peter Pan; no wait, then IASW, twice, w/o getting out of the boat. We encountered very short waits or none at all, until about noon, at which we shifted gears and went into what we now call "Dave Mode" (see the WDW Planning Video) for the afternoon, then picked up the pace in the evening, until my daughter's eyes glazed over, and I knew she was done for (Wilbur).
