Best time to see Peter Pan queue?

Hi - we have not been since they redesigned the queue for Peter Pan and we would like to see it. We normally fast pass this ride and plan to again, but also will stand in line once.

We will be at the Halloween party and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with how long the wait is for Peter Pan during the party? I was thinking if we rode it during the first parade we may be able to see the new queue without a huge wait.

Thoughts? Any other times you suggest? We will be there 10/25-11/3.

thanks!

@WEDWDW good to know, thanks! :)

@Robo - we actually didn't plan on rope-dropping Magic Kingdom until our 8th day in, but maybe we can switch things up a bit. We are staying at Polynesian so it we have a bunch of different times planned for MK>

The lines should be significantly shorter during the party, especially at the very end of the night. I would suggest then!

Just a heads up in you are attending a party that is sold out the lines can be still quite long for the ride. If you do want to go maybe try for going during one of the parades (whichever one you aren't watching).

I've also had good luck right after Wishes! in the past. They cleared the attraction prior to the fireworks and opened it again right afterward.

In the past couple years, I've always gone through at rope drop and essentially walked through with no wait.
I've experienced the interactive "shadow bells", but was totally unaware of the "tink effects" until Hopper's YouTube link in another thread. Is it possible these effects aren't activated until more of a line develops, or have I just had bad luck?

Two schools:

1.) Rope drop.
2.) Park close.

In general, we are Rope Drop people. However, if you want to take your time walking through at this early morning hour, you may feel some emotional pressure to move along, hurry up, stop clogging the line, etc.

You are paying a premium to be at Halloween Party, make certain you understand what you might be missing by walking a queue.

If you are not traveling with young children - I'm inclined to suggest Park closing (even though it contradicts Robo).

I definitely made some people mad for going too slowly through the bedroom at rope drop.

Instead of saying excuse me, they crawled through the switchbacks and huffed to make sure I knew. I then felt bad and moved along, but I missed a lot of the effects. I was marveling at the shadow butterfly that landed on my shadow, but never got to see the bells or Tink until after the trip when I saw it on YouTube. If I had known, I would have stayed longer, but would have been more conscious about staying out of the way.

The aisles are fairly narrow, so pay attention if you go at rope drop and try to find a corner in the bedroom to hang out and enjoy the effects. Ideally, you would go when the wait is maybe 15-20 minutes so you can spend some time enjoying the queue without people being annoyed that you're stalling their RD.

Yes,it is possible to "stand to the side" and not "block" the line at the bedrooms-not much "space" to "stand to the side" in but is possible and worth it in order to see Tink fly.:)

Tink does not fly in the bedrooms "continuously"-just every few minutes-MANY Guests go through the queue never seeing Tink fly.

@JZCubed - thanks! We've been to the party before, if we did it during the party we would attempt during whichever parade we don't watch, or at the end. We aren't meeting characters at part.

@WEDWDW - thanks! We have no problem stepping to the side to let people go, I want to see it! :)

For those wishing to "linger" in the pre-show area,
wait at a "corner" of a switchback, and make sure to turn to each group coming in behind you and
say something to them like, "We are here to especially observe this area.
It won't be a problem at all if you'd like move on past us, as we will likely be here awhile."
Do this for each new group that arrives.
As you see each aspect of the bedroom, you can move forward another "section" and wait
until you are ready to exit the bedroom and go on into the "pixie dust" hallway.
You will not be inconveniencing anyone, and you won't affect your ability to ride the attraction,
as loading is continuous, once you finally reach the boarding area.

Yes,you'll be able to get far enough "out of the way" at the bedrooms where you are not "blocking" the line at all and the line will just continue without you.:)
