I am trying to get a reservation for Coral Reef in November. Currently I have 2 reservations for 6 that are 20mins apart but we have 13 total.
Anyone know what the best time of the day is to check for cancellations? Or have any other tips on how to get all 13 of us to eat around the same time?

Thanks!

You'll probably find a lot of people shuffling around after the Candlelight Processional packages are released.

You can try the Touring Plans reservation finder. It will look for you and alert you if one becomes available and it's free. I've had good luck with it.

I would love to know the answer (or at least others' ideas) on the OP's question. I will drive myself insane checking a dozen times per day.
I put in two reservations at Touring Plans, but I need it to search for more than two. And it won't even start searching for a couple of days, as the program considers my December dates to be way off in the future.

I am wondering the same!!! I'm consumed with checking the website multiple times a day. I keep reading about the free touring plan finder so I guess I better sign up for that too. Our trip is 11/26-12/3 split stay with free dining 28th - 12/3. We got only 1 ADR on our want list.

I am using TouringPlans as well having it check for me. I missed one earlier this morning. Sucks!

But at least the system works for me.

Just signed up for Touring reservation finder. Took me a bit to figure out how to get signed up but hopefully it will help me out. I think I will still check the website sometimes. It's become a habit

I checked late at night, or early in the AM -

while we were there, we cancelled several just because we were too tired, but we also were able to pick up a Chef Mickey's the night of Halloween for the next day at around 10:30 - we are assuming it was someone who was at the Halloween Party and decided they wanted to sleep in the next day

Is there a way to sign up for Touring Plans reservation finder without buying a subscription?

Yes, I signed up and have gotten both BOG and now a new Ohana the last few days! It really works and is great, as well as free. It's in beta-testing right now. But I did snag both which was awesome!

Can you please send me the link. For the life of me I can't figure it out. Every time I try it asks for my cc info.

It's still asking me to create an account. oh well I'll just keep checking and be grateful that I managed to snag a BOG dinner even if it's a little later than I wanted.

May I ask what you do when you get that alert? Call or book online?

Booking online is best. You never know how long you will have to wait for someone if you call on the phone. If you put in your cell phone number you will get a text with a link. You can click on the link and it will bring you directly to the reservation once you sign in if it is still available.
