Best time to book JetBlue?

I usually book the first day that the next block is released and seem to get the best fare that way. Granted, I only check sporadically once I book...

Does anyone else find this the case or is it best to wait until a certain time after the next block is released or say two months out from your departure date? :confused3

Right now JB is selling to mid-June 2015 and I hope the next bit goes at least to September 8th to cover my trip to DL!

I find that booking as soon as its opened always gets me the best rate--or at a minimum one I am willing to live with... I don't quibble over a couple dollars if its a direct flight and the times I want :)

I book when I'm set on dates and when the fare seems reasonable (knowing that it could go up or down). I usually book on Tuesdays or Wednesdays as it seems if the fares are going to drop, that's when they do. Also, in the past I've called JetBlue if the fare drops after I've booked and they have been willing to issue me a credit for the difference. The credit goes into my TravelBank in my TrueBlue account and it has to be used within a year, so it isn't a refund but I'll take the credit towards another flight.

When I booked our last trip, the rules/policies were changing.
I called JetBlue and this is what the representative had to say.
Beginning August 14, 2014.....
Once a ticket is issued, you have 14 days to request a credit if the fare decreases, at no charge.
After 14days, all credit requests will be charged a $75 fee per person.

I know in the past if air fares went down after booking the airlines would issue a credit voucher.

However, that may not be the case now a days. If you anticipate a possible reduction after booking, clarify the current policy.

I agree with the Tuesday/Wednesday timing for best rates of the week.

I book when I know the date 100% and have the money. I then check when I'm bored and if the price is lower I call and they give a Jetblue credit for the difference.

As a general rule, it seems air fare is cheapest on Tuesdays as mentioned above. Sigh. I hate the games airlines play.

As stated above, they have recently changed their policy and only give a credit for the difference within a two week period, just FYI

That stinks. Looks like they are slowly starting to cut away at the things that set them apart.
