Hi there, have just joined up after lots of lurking!

Me and my son are off to DLP on the 30th and I'm trying to be as prepared as possible so we get the most we can out of our visit. :)

I booked the other day a reservation for Cafe Mickey for 6:30 pm on our first full day in the parks (31st), but now I am worried this will clash with a parade time?? I want us to enjoy our meal and not have to rush, do you think I should change the time? I'm no sure when the parades start. (My son has a disability and is in a wheelchair, so I will be hoping to get him a pass and be in the special area they have for wheelchairs. Can anyone give me any advice??

Hi WhoWhoWhoWho :welcome: to the Disneyland Paris Trip Planning & Community Board.

Hoping you'll have lots of fun on here    please join in with any thread or if you have any questions please start a new one of your own.

If you haven't had a look yet, the DLP DISboard posting rules are here and the DIS posting guidelines can be found here. :)

At the moment the Once Upon a Dream parade is on at 7:15pm in the main park and I think it will still be held at that time on the 31st. If I were you, I'd change your reservation time until 8:30pm, this will give you time to watch the parade then make your way leisurely up to Cafe Mickey. You don't say what age your son is - if 8:30pm would be too late for him to dine then I'd suggest maybe changing to lunch at Cafe Mickey that day and just having a snack in the evening?

Have a look here for the schedule of all the parades and shows etc. It is not available yet for your dates but should be very similar.

I'm afraid I can't give you any advice on the wheelchair spaces but you might still have to be there a while before the parade is due to start so you could grab a sandwich or something to eat while you are waiting.

I think I will change the reservation time, can't decide now whether to go for a late lunch, or at about 8:30, I don't want to leave it too late in the day for DS though as I want him to enjoy the interaction with the characters and he might be at his limit and overloaded from the day if we go later in the evening - hmm think afternoon it is then!

I figured I would still have to get a good position despite it being in an allocated area, it's still going to be busy isn't it, and everyone will be wanting a good view. :)

The parade timetable is handy, I will keep checking for it to update to our holiday dates, be handy to know times of shows and parades in advance!

We are staying 3 nights in Santa Fe with two days to explore the park and studios - I'm really anxious we dont miss anything :yay:

Cafe Mickey doesn't have its characters out meeting the diners from 3pm to 6pm, so maybe aim for lunch so you get the most out of your character meal?

we had a 5.30 meal at cafe mickey last week, characters came out from 6pm, we had main course and dessert plus lots of breaks for characters and were back in the park to see the parade as it came to the end of main street. I will say we didnt hurry as we had seen that parade 2 already by that point

Well after a lot of deliberation I have decided to book in for a character meal over lunchtime, will break up the day for my son and mean we can just grab a quick bite to eat before the parade.

Thank you all for you advice :)
