best time of the year to visit

That's a tricky one. For me, ideally, I'd avoid the busiest times and the summer months. All the major US holidays see the parks mobbed (Christmas through New Year, Easter, Thanksgiving, Spring Break, President's Week, school summer holidays).

Late November/early December has the benefit of the Christmas decorations and attractions without the crowds. Mid September through mid-November (other than Thanksgiving) has the benefit of the International Food and Wine Festival and the Halloween events, plus good weather, without the crowds. April/May/June (outside of Easter and Spring break) has the benefit of great weather and low crowds. The Flower and Garden Fesitival at Epcot is pretty, but not as big a draw as some of the other events I've already mentioned.

We also enjoy early January because it's a great time to get away from the post-Christmas blues and atrocious weather here.

For an ideal combination of nice weather (but not too hot) and manageable crowds I would say April/May missing Easter or October through early November are the best times to go.

if you don't have to do school hols then definately late october/early november, weather is still really good, crowds are quiet and theres loads of extras like the halloween parties going on

hi when is the best time of the year to visit disneyworld
thanks:cool1:

I like May and the end of August. The weather is not too hot and lovely breeze. The crowds were not too heavy and we rode many of them again and again.
You feel less rushed with the characters when it is not so busy too,

Hi.

October for me. Crowds are pretty good, as is the weather and you get the Food & Wine Festival & the Halloween celebrations.

Maybe you were just lucky Lynn with your August weather, we have been in August several times and it has been well over 90 degrees each time with high humidity also.

Only reason to go in August is if you are restricted to school holidays - in my opinion anyway.

We like to go end of Sept early Oct as the weathers usually great and low crowds!

October for us. MNSSHP, Low crowds, great weather, low cost flights and hotels and best of all affordable Disney cruising.
Cant wait for DS to finish High School so we can start going in October again.

:cool1: Definately October! We are luck as my older daughter and I get 2 weeks half term in Oct so we're off on 13 Oct this year. Can't wait!

We would go April/May if we could. After Easter when it gets quiet. October is too near Christmas for me.

I would say = out of all the times we have visited WDW late April early May.
Now we have DD we are more restricted to a week in the Easter hols and a week out

have found that anyware inbetween 1st jan and 31st dec, would be the ideal time to vist:rotfl: .You will get opinions on all times of year disney is magical at any time( we love end of may but also go end of august)

IMHO :-)) April is nice if you can avoid Easter and the crowds, May is nice also but by the end of May its getting really hot.

The best time I have been though is definitely September and early October, great weather low crowds and the days are still long enough to stay out late.

Martina

Been at most times of year.

We would probably avoid September due to the torrential rain every afternoon, and we love the parks and hotels in December but, to be honest, any time is a good time!:thumbsup2
