Best time of day to visit the new Fantasyland ?

Just wondered what everyone's opinion would be on when would be the best time of day to go on the rides and check out the new Fantasyland ? I was thinking we should go first thing when we get there but since it is new isnt that where everyone else will be going in the morning ? We will be going when crowd levels will be around 7 or 8 .

We went last March and went to Fantasyland first thing in the morning. It was pretty quiet for about 2 hours and we were able to do a lot of rides with little to no wait during that time.

And I've been tracking wait times for the past couple of weeks to get an idea of when to book our FP+ and from what I can see Fantasyland is staying pretty quiet at opening.

From what I understand, FL is a favorite place for young kids as they can pretty much ride everything there. A lot of young kids aren't going to get up at 6-7am to get to the park for opening. They get there late morning and closer to lunch. This is what I've been told.

From lunch on the park does get pretty busy.

But as you are going right after the official opening of 7DMT I would expect that particular ride to have long waits regardless.

We actually found the last couple of hours before park closing was pretty good. We walked on Ariel and dumbo was about 5 minute wait. Goofini was pretty much walk on as well. We were there in August, not sure about when you will be there.

First thing. Everyone is headed to Belle or the mountains. See the Princesses right away and then do everything else. Night time is good too. The carousel is all lit up and pretty.

I'd say first thing too. We were there last week on Tues/Wed and both days were PACKED in the afternoon. It was hard to even walk through the area, especially in front of Peter Pan's Flight and It's a Small World.

Yes that was what I was thinking. Wonder if this will make Fantasyland more crowded in the mornings or probably all day

We wont be seeing the princesses so that may help us get the rides done. I bet it is cool looking at night.

We'll be there the same time as you. We planned to be there rope drop and hit FL first. Our family is used to eating later lunches (1-2 pm), so we scheduled later lunches and dinners to avoid the rush and rest during the crowded afternoons.

I found the customizable plans at touring plans to be quite helpful.

The key thing to remember is that even if "everyone" is going the same place, "everyone" at rope drop is still a relatively small number of people, compared to how many people will be arriving between 10am and noon.

I recommend going as soon as the rope drops and if you want to return, coming back when fireworks are on. We were there last week and the rest of the time, it was so busy compared to the other lands, that Cast Members were directing traffic.

Fantasyland is a virtual ghost town during the first showing of the evening parade. You can visit every attraction in about an hour. Much more efficient than rope drop time.

Then you can enjoy the 2nd parade showing with a much smaller crowd.

This same strategy also works at DHS for Fantasmic & Midway Mania.
